  I have just bought two Astone AP 32-B's for my old man. He is very happy.

  I had a HTPC setup for him which he struggle to use. I have now set him up with two of these (one for main tv, one for tv in bedroom) and he is really happy.

  Pretty simple interface is great for the less tech savvy. Seems to be pretty responsive from the very quick play I had when setting it up. Comes with Composite and Standard AV (Yellow, White and Red) cables but also supports HDMI (tho it doesn't come with a cable). Also comes with a pretty easy to use remote, tho I've never understood why they make the buttons so small (especially if you are aiming this at an older market).

  The only downsides are that it doens't play 1080p (only up to 1080i - he doesn't have anything that quality anyway!) and it doesn't have any network features.

  Anyone having problem buying from ShoppingSquare.com.au recently? I bought Astone Media Player from them on 4th Feb and haven't received it. Does the shipping take that long (to Perth)?

  Submitted ticket twice and no response from them. :(

    The only one that can do h.264/.mkv files is the astone A-110D. And a media player without h.264/.mkv is not that useful in this modern day and age. And $100 shipped isn't that great, it was going for $75 or so (including shipping) on here a week or so ago.

      Not quite. It was also $89.95 (same shipping costs) with $10 off with an ozbuy coupon and another $5 off for signing up to something (which ppl were having problems with). RRP is ~$120 so this is a great deal for a great media player and the metal casing on the 110d is brilliant for heat dissipation compared to other models (and it's only at most 24w).
