  • For those of you wondering (due to the recent crazy dick deals on them) the 3300 is the successor to the 3200 - nothing too crazy to mention for spec upgrades but it seems to improve on lots of things.

    • Essentially a faster CPU, removal of the AA filter, and 1080p60fps mode.

      • +3

1080p60fps is a pretty good upgrade, quite the future proofing there.

  • can't beat DS, D3200 TLK $249!

    • -1

      $248,actually.

    • +10

Not really an "as available" deal as this, meaning you had to be lucky to actually get that.

      • +2

Yep, wasn't to be found anywhere……

    • yesterday at my local ds, there was a d3200 body only for $197. is it ok price?

      • +1

If you have existing lens, maybe. Otherwise I'd say no.

        • i think so, i do not have any lens.

      • -4

not a good deal, as from my $248 D3200 TLK, i think one of lens (55-300mm) worth at least $240 or more

      • I saw that at the Sydney cbd Westfield store.
It's literally body only with no body cap protector, no battery or charger.

Probably no box or warranty. Not worth it.

  • thanks OP!

on a separate note, I placed an order and got this "Thanks for placing your order with us. It is currently being reviewed by our online team". what rubbish

  • I bought a cheap LCD viewfinder loupe for the D3300. I bought the V1, made for 5D and D800 as stated on the ebay sight. It just fits. The optics is horrible but it allows me to manual focus and it only cost $6. Worth it. If anyone wants to try DSLR video, this is a very cheap way to start.

  • Ok i bought one now i need a cheap deal on a 55mm-200mm lens! best found so far is $184 with a couple of discounts applied - Nikon brand.
    Anyone know of anything cheaper?

    • +1

Gumtree. Don't bother with brand new lenses. I don't bother buying brand new with sub $500 lenses. You can use it for a year and still sell it for the same price you bought it for. It is like a deposit for a free lens rental.

      • Very good point. Ill have a search.
        Cheers.

  • Just ordered 1. No mention in the receipt of a gift card- was there a promo code I needed to type in?

    • +2

It should just arrive with you're order I was told

      • Spoke with Harvery Norman representative, after you place your order, they said if you qualify you will be delivered the gift cards with you order if purchased online or available to collect on pick-up.

        • Received today, got a $50 gift card! more than 10% :)

        • @wozz: Happy days, good on HN

  • I'm looking for an entry level dslr, this is definitely one, mostly shooting sport events, some reviews say this isn't a sport photographer wants to use for, any recommend for entry level sport shooting ?

  • Great deal, thanks! On order to pickup from Coburg store :D

  • Is there still $100 cashback from Nikon?

    • Yeah or you would be paying $100 more for this price

  • Customer Service said 25 off cannot be combined with 10% gift card.

    • Tell them it wasn't in terms so they have to, unless they want a call from the ACCC. If it doesn't work that sucks but still good deal even without the G/C

  • guess no one had any problems. I used the $25 off code, ordered online and picked up yesterday with the gift card as well.

    cheers OP!

    • What memory card came with the camera? Trying to figure out if I should buy the current deal TA has up

      • +1

I received a samsung evo 32Gb and a Lowepro Format 160 Twin Lens Bag ( i think), was pleasantly surprised with the free gifts i was half expecting a 8Gb card and a generic bag!

i had to remind them about the free prints gift card and $50 dollar gift card though the staff had no clue.

        • great stuff, thanks mate
