  • Never heard of this camera store.

WA based. been around for years.

      • Hmm, that's what I'm seeing on OZB deal history.

      • I can vouch for this store as a previous customer. There's also a rep on OZB who's great with any questions too. Can't remember username but you should be able to find him in a previous thread.

    • Good experience here too. Good service.

    • Yes I've used these guys many times. They are very good for pre-orders and provide excellent service. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

  • Great store! Purchased more than 3k of gear with the only issue bring a shipping delay when they got ozbargained. Recommend!

    These are also excellent prices: 75mm 1.8 $699, 45 mm 1.8 (black) $279.

    • Both are excellent lenses too.

  • Not had the best experience with them, always went to leederville camera house for the service but this is a good deal.

    • What issues have you had?

      • +3

just not very good customer service, I got a lens that had AF problems and went back to return it and was treated like I had no clue about cameras or lenses and that the lens was fine, after I demonstrated how bad it was then they said they would get a new one for me, it was back focusing like crazy.

I'm looking for a night e entry level macro lens for my canon 1200d that I bought a month ago. Where do I get the best priced lenses from? Maybe the Canon 100mm macro lens. I see its about $580.

    • +1

The Canon 60mm f2.8 macro would be good, and on a crop body like you have it would be a nice portrait lens as well

      • Looks yum.

      • Cheers mate! What are your thoughts on the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro Lens? Would that serve as a good portrait lens as well? I shall keep my eye on this. Where are the best places to look for lenses buddy?

    • Or if you were looking for a micro four-third version of a macro-lens, there is the Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro, also a useful portrait lens!
(120mm field-of-view equivalent, and 1:1 magnification, which I think is 'equivalent' to a 2:1 magnification)
'Cheap' for a micro-four third lens, since it is cheaper than the Canon equivalent!

Will not work on his 1200d…

      • Cheers anyways!

  • Wish m43 had a 17/1.4 lens.

  • this is a m43 lens?

    • -2

Nah, it's a Canon mirrorless full frame lens.

      • Uh… This deal is an Olympus m43 lens.
Even if you're talking about the Canon EF-S mount lens, it's not for full frame. EF is for full frame.
Also AFAIK Canon has no full frame mirrorless cameras……

  • Is the omd e-m1 worth $1599?

    • +1

Making it $1399 after eftpos card. It has been this price before but its usual street price is around $1700-$1800 for this kit. The lens on its own is usually $800+ so body works out to be ~$600. Very good price I reckon.

  • +1

@tonylin are you sure that's the correct price? That page says:

Only $1299.00 after $200.00 EFTPOS Card - Redeemable online from Olympus Australia https://www.olympus.com.au/promotions : Valid on Purchases up to 11:59pm Western Time 24th December 2015

You add the lens to the cart and the price is $1499.

Definitely $1299 before cash back. You must be looking at the one with the teleconverter. Maybe OP should update link to product page instead of to main page?

      • OP's deal link is correct, my mistake you're right I had checked out other lenses and then gone back, but to the deal with the teleconverter, which is a bloody good deal too.
