  • anyone has good experience with JD?

    • +1

No experience at all yet. They took my (paypal) money ok…

    • +1

JD is like Aliexpress as it has stuff from JD directly and 3rd party sellers.

    • JD delivery quickly.and have good after sale service.

    • Info, and experience, here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/211014

  • I'm having trouble signing up for an account. Do you need an invitation code?

  • +1

I checked out this phone vs the Mi4C, and eventually chose the Mi4C, i think which ever phone you choose it will be good. Just remember niether of these phones has band 28 700mhz, so no 4gx on Telstra.

    • Yeah that worried me at first but I don't think it will be an issue where I'm trying to use it.

      • +1

Yeh it shouldnt be, I bought mine for a little bit more future proofing, i.e. the mi4c has a faster processor and better gpu (including larger battery) I normally keep my phones for longer than a year so should work quite nice for me.

        http://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7512&idPhone2=…

        Comparison for you…

        • Don't the screens crack easily on the xiaomi's? Once they crack i heard the touch sensor don't work at all making the phone useless

        • @bti_jet: Haven't read anything about that?
I think there is a risk with any phone, but if Xiaomi found that to be a problem i dont think they would carry over the design for 3 phones…

    • Thanks - added to post

  • Sold out :(

    • That was quick! Glad I got in.

Best price I've seen for OnePlus X. Buy one now and think later to true OzBargain spirit!

Perfect phone for those who do not want massive 5.5+ inch sizers. They are simply too big for men pocket. This is the reason I rule out the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3.

Xiaomi Mi4c is another great choice with better/64bit chipset, only put off buy the plastic body (even though great build quality). I used to have Mi4i which was great, but 4c is too same other than new chipset and usb port.

So I will try this one, and see how I go. Will see about the non-existent after service, but well you get what you pay for.

  • Grrr…
Stumbled across no-invite-needed promotion at OnePlus the other day.. after stalking for months. Only at checkout, they mention they don't ship to Aus. Dicks!

Then I see this, only to miss it too! Had one new (3rd hand) phone in 4 years, with a cracked screen for the last 12mths.

    OnePlus For XMAS!!

      Tried-again, just now…
      GOT ONE!

      Thanks!

  • Argh… that site insists I'm in Russia. Mobile site is so neutered, there are almost zero options.

  • It seems to be coming back in stock for brief periods. I managed to grab one just now (4:07pm AEDT).

    • +1

Grrr I've been refreshing the page ever since cause I saw the "In Stock" but then I had refreshed and it went Out of Stock straight away :(

  • Managed to place an order for one, but when I click Checkout to proceed with payment I get an error? Happen to anyone else?

    • Just got one and no checkout problems with PayPal

  • In stock again. Grab it quick!

  • Is it just me or on this site you can only buy 1 item at a time? I tried adding a phone and then some headphones to cart and it always only has the last added item. Tried Chrome / Firefox.

    • There is a "friendly reminder" saying one coupon can only be used once with one order. May be because they are getting their items from different suppliers?

  • Okay tried it again today managed to checkout though I was charged 209 usd but when I checked my paypal 300 aud was taken what's that all about ?

    • +1

My guess is, You paid in AUD instead of USD. PayPal rips you off on conversion.

      • Hmm idk you can't select to pay in AUD can you? Cause I just did and it showed 209 USD on my order :/

  • I'm still using oneplusone any benefits over that?

    • +1

      Benefits:
      - Smaller and easier to hold
      - Better build quality - metal sides + glass back
      - Battery life is slightly better
      - Camera slightly better
      - Better screen - 1080p AMOLED
      - Dual SIM/Micro SD Hybrid slot
      - Has alerts toggle slider that was in OP2

      Cons:
      - No NFC
      - Smaller display (not sure if its a Pro or Con but to each their own)
      - 16GB internal storage (but has SD expansion)

  • +1

its a shame you can't add a faster shipping option - or am i missing that part ?

Can anyone comment how long their order took ?

    thanks.

    • I'm on the same boat as you man, and I had no clue how to track my order if we are even able to do so O__O

      • +1

Tracking working for you yet? Seems to be shipped with Netherlands post but the tracking has moved or worked yet.

        • I'm not even sure how to track my order like when I click on Track my shipment I'm given these details

          SHIP CARRIER:JDYW-NLSP

And then my tracking number right underneath it?

edit: I used an international tracking website and it claims that my shipment is currently in transit with Netherlands Post, seems legit I hope haha

Will keep post updated as soon as I get find out more info :)

        • @poopsalad:

So 2 days later my order has progressed from

          Item is ready for shipment
          Item has left originating country
Item has arrived in the transit airport

Can anyone else update of their order status aswell?

Can only dream I get this in by Christmas or more realistically before the end of the year haha

        • +1

@poopsalad: Ordered mine on the day I posted this. Mine's up to "arrival at destination airport. Australia." As of yesterday. That's promising for receipt before Xmas!

        • @poopsalad:

Australia: 6-8 working days apparently but prob more due to xmas

18-12-2015 The item has arrived in the transit airport AUSTRALIA
18-12-2015 The item has left the originating country
16-12-2015 The item is ready for shipment
          16-12-2015 The item is pre-advised
16-12-2015 The item is received by the shipper in the originating country

edit : Don't forget to factor in Australia post..

        • @suudo:

Oh hey we're on the same boat

Don't forget to factor in Australia post + Xmas deliveries AusPost is most likely being swamped with orders haha

          edit

If I'm not mistaken though if the order says 'Item has arrived in transit airport" wouldn't that mean it's still in Netherlands airport

My assumption is based off this http://track.aftership.com/RS338686119NL which randomly came up on google when I looked up "The item has arrived in the transit airport"

        • @brazen00:

Ay seems like you're having more luck than me! I ordered on the same day you posted this too except probably like 2 hours later

Let us know when your order has come in :)

edit : As of 22 Dec "The Item is at the PostNL Sorting Centre"

        • @poopsalad: Hmm. Looks like I may have read it wrong. According to the site you've used, my parcel is "The item is on transport to the country of destination" as of today. Oh well… a new year present maybe?

  • -1

Just bought one - Now we wait. When it arrives I'll check it for malware as well and re-flash Oxygen OS on it.

  • looks like its gone up unless you have to enter the code for the price to change?? showing as $249us

    • +1

      Still works, add the code

  • got one of these ordered appearing as
    Order Status:Awaiting Shipment

  • Looks like code is no longer working … missed out :-( My old iPhone 5S (which I loved) will become a christmas present …. … oh no … I need a phone!

  • Ive read through all the comments and i havnt seen anyone who has my problem of the invite code. Just to clarify not the phone number, not the captcha code but the last option when signing up, the invite code. i tried the code in the post and that doesnt work.

  • Anyone got there opx yet??

    • +1

Mine literally just arrived in Australia this morning the tracking site says

"The shipment arrived at Carrier Facility for processing."

All this took about 6 days from being shipping 23rd of Dec from Netherlands

      • +1

Lucky you! Mine also shipped from NL on 23/12 but is still in transit.

        • +1

Oooo it should come in next Australia post working day though! assuming yours is "Shipment arrived at Carrier Facility for processing"

It doesn't update anymore after "Item has arrived in country of Destination"

        • @poopsalad: Awesome if true! That's tomorrow!!

        • +1

          @brazen00:

I'll pray that it comes in tomorrow for ya haha :)

Make sure to stay home or get someone to attend to it cause obviously signature is required!

        • @poopsalad:
How did you guys get your tracking details to put in the website suggested?
I purchased this phone on 27th December and have not received any E-mails from JD apart from the initial confirmation of order (where it asked me to pay within 72hrs). I paid immediately, but still no E-mails. Is this normal?

So far, tracking info simply states Order Status as Awaiting Acceptance. The timeline graph says 'shipped out' with "Hello: Your parcel has been delivered to JD-GZ-YW-NLSP, the shipping company". So I have no further details to put into those websites people have suggested. Any ideas?

I am happy to wait for 3 to 4 weeks as some people have suggested on here. Just want to ensure that my order

        • +1

          @datzed:

Yeah from what I experienced JD does not provide any other details of your order aside from the one you have mentioned.
Your best bet is to use other international tracking websites as they provide more details such as which country it's in and what stage right up until arrival at country of destination.

I have provided the tracking websites I used below
          https://www.packagetrackr.com/
          http://www.17track.net/en

Really simple to use, just copy and paste your tracking number from your JD order.

          P.S
Don't bother using contact support on JD aswell I sent in a reply with your issue to them and they didn't even reply to me until after I had received the shipment haha

        • @poopsalad: Thanks for the reply poopsalad. Under my order next to the tracking ID, it is blank (picture in link below). I might wait a few more days before I panic given the Christmas period. I've also sent in an E-mail to JD but am not hopeful as you mention (also paid with paypal so always have that to fall back on).

          http://oi63.tinypic.com/11glxn4.jpg

EDIT: Also note, that in JD's website, it states "Average processing time is 2 -15 working days" so I'll wait for a few more days. http://help.en.jd.com/help/question-19.html

  • Nice better ealier than later ,was it the e1001 or e1003 version both will Work for me just curious.

  • +1

Just received mine yesterday, it was the E1001 version works great and definitely loving this new phone :D

    • +1

what does your tracking say? mines just
The item has arrived in the country of destination

    • poopsalad, can you confirm what OS the phone comes with (Oxygen or Hydrogen????), and does it come with the 'bloatware' anti-virus apps that some other resellers install?

If it came with the bloadware apps, how did you get rid of it?

  • Mine says
    TRACKING ID:
    Date and timeStatus
Hello: Your parcel has been delivered to JD-GZ-YW-NLSP, the shipping company

  • Ok thanks

  • +2

For anyone that has bought this from JD, can anyone confirm what OS the phone comes with (Oxygen or Hydrogen????), and does it come with the 'bloatware' anti-virus apps that some other resellers install?

    • +4

The OS that the phone comes with is OxygenOS and as far as I'm aware it came with no bloatware whatsoever

      Sorry for replying late!

      • Was it sealed? Will really save me some time researching and flashing.

        • +5

Received mine yesterday. New and sealed E1003 version with no bloatware. :)

Came with screen protector applied, and a matte jelly case in the box.

edit: JD also sealed the parcel cardboard box with a special sticker which shows whether it's been tampered with.

        • @icemocha600ml: Thanks for the details mate. This is helpful.

        • @icemocha600ml:
Did you ask for e1003 version, thats a bonus wouldnt mind if i got that version.

        • +1

@icemocha600ml: When did you order yours?

Mine is still stuck in 'The item has arrived in the transit airport' since the 18th of Dec and I ordered back in Dec 10.

        • +1

@willy80: I didn't make any specific request. Is there any advantage with the E1003?

        • +1

@Matador_OZ: I ordered on Dec 10th. Tracking shows "item arrived in the country of destination" on Dec 29th. Delivering to metro SA. Hope this helps :)

        • @icemocha600ml:
No just different 4g bands vodafone has 2 4g bands the e1003 has both of them.

        • @icemocha600ml: Thanks mate

  • Guys, is the deal over? The coupon code 'JD558' doesn't work or is 'invalid'. Please help :P

    • Looks like it.

      • Damn, I only decided recently to get this phone… Probs wait for another sale

  • Mine says despatched from ShenZhen Yanwen sorting centre saying 2 days.

  • +1

Mine arrived today, it turned out to be an E1003 with OxygenOS.

Haven't done anything with it but the AMOLED screen is fantastic :)

Only a few mm taller than my Nexus 5, which was the reason for purchasing (similar size).

    • Was yours shipped from Nederlands?

      • Yes it was

    • overcoat, how long did delivery take in total?
EDIT: Based on your comments, it took almost a month?

      • +2

Yeah basically almost a month for me aswell as far as I'm aware shipping such an item from China is not allowed due to battery? So it gets shipped to Netherlands first then to Aus

Awesome phone, Received E1003 sealed and everything. No bloat, the shipping overall was pretty long.

    • That's awesome. Do you know if yours was shipped through China or Nederlands?

      • I thought it was NL at first but definitely china according to the tracking. Takes longer than normal post than normal post that I receive from China. My case I ordered weeks after, came at the same time as the phone.

  • +1

Ordered on the 19th of Dec, arrived today. Great stuff.

  • 2016-01-13 21:00
The item is at the PostNL sorting center
    Getting closer 😀

    • +1

Hey willy80, have you received your phone yet? And when did you order it?

I'm starting to get a little concerned as its been 24 days and my order has only progressed to 'on its way to destination country'. jd website advises delivery can take up to 25 days

To anyone else, roughly how long did delivery take?

      • +1

Nope still havent got mine either ordered on 21/12/15
        Mine is up to this
2016-01-14 07:00 The item is on transport to the country of destination

  • +1

That 25 days doesnt count the processing time which took a while if its the same as mine.

  • +1

Hey so ive bought the oneplus x a while ago (28th Dec) and theres pretty much been no progess to my shipping its just been
"Hello: Your parcel has been delivered to JD-GZ-YW-NLSP, the shipping company."
I was wondering what the red button "confirm receipt" does. My first thought is that i click it after i have received the item. Can anyone clarify for me. Thanks.

    • +1

Your first thought is correct. Don't click until received.

    • Like others have said in this thread use external tracking such astrack.yw56.com.cn/en-US/

  • +1

Mine come yesterday e1003 version, awesome phone love it.
