    Thanks!
Got the Canon battery grip for 5d3, cheaper than Amazon, bhphotovideo and even grey import!

    • Why do you need a battery grip? Isn't it heavy enough. I know some people uses it to make them look "professional".

      • Possibly for the extra battery life, possibly.

      • If using camera in studio for portrait it is acceptable. Outdoor is not a good idea.

      • What an ignorance. Do you seriously not know what battery grip does?

Weight and battery life is a trade off. Preference can be different for users, so as tolerance of weight!!

It is unfair to neglect the advantages of battery grip because of percentage of users using it to pretend pros.

      • Too heavy? Do you even lift? LOL.

I find it awkward taking portrait shots, so for me having the shutter button there really helps.

It's the usual "put stuff on sale and have no stock so you're waiting weeks" digidirect sale.

  • Cheapest battery grip for the Canon 6D I've seen so far. $151 + Shipping.

Chatted online, no store stock, but apparently have online stock.
The online guy seemed a bit dodgy as he gone quiet in the middle of our conversation then came back and told me to wait without giving a reason.

After reading reviews on this store, I probably wouldn't trust spending $1000's here.

    • If you're in Melbourne, ask for Brad. I only ever deal with him and even happy to pay slightly more in some cases as he just tells me as it is. He's been working there since it was Camera House and I've spent $1000's and have had help/advice on numerous occasions also. This is definitely one of those things buying online can't replace. I dread the day he decides to move on.

Same can definitely not be said for the know-it-all old farts that stand around judging customers and deciding who they want to serve/help/market bullshit to just down the road. Fairly old corner store is all I'll say, disappointed every time I set foot in there.

      • I bought this online so I'll just have to suck it and see. There was plenty of other stuff I wanted to buy from them but will see how this transaction goes before I go opening up my wallet to them.

        • Well I ended up opening my wallet and throwing a few more hundred $$$ at them for more stuff after the impressive speed at which my battery grip arrived.

The new stuff I ordered is not in stock so will see how this gets dealt with.

      • I gave up on that 'corner store' years ago. Always ended up arguing about what I was buying as they never 'approved' - hilarious selling technique!

        • Yeah, the only reason I go in there is basically just to get a feel for what I'm buying because they have good floor stock. I almost always slap myself for putting myself through the torture though, ALMOST not worth it. Glad it's not just in my head. I'm 28 and neither young nor old I would have thought, but get treated like I'm not superior enough to be in their presence. This review comes to mind when I do go there. http://zackarias.com/for-photographers/gear-gadgets/fuji-x10…

Brad, on the other hand, can't fault him. Can hold a normal conversation and will always match their online prices. Can't speak for any of the other stores but the Melbourne one retained the majority of the Camera House staff and I've been going there for a good 5+ years now.

  • Flash guns not part of sale…damn
