The Australian Television Archive also offers many other preservation services to the public, apart from videotape and movie film transfers, we offer 35mm, roll film, negatives etc scanning services.

In order for you to trial our slide scanning service to see the quality we can provide, we are offering 1 x 35mm slide or film negative scanned for free!

Simply email us via the website at http://austv.hostforweb.com with the subject line "free slide scan" and you will be supplied with the details on where to send your slide,

then all you need to do is send it along with an appropriate self stamped adressed envelope (for the slides return) and a valid email, and you will receive your scanned image sent to that email and your slide returned in the normal mail.

We are confident you will be happy with the result and you are under no obligation to purchase additional services, however if you wish to proceed with more slides, the cost is $1 per slide with a minimum of 10, (with discounts negotiated for large quantitys)

    • Your welcome to deliver it in person and avoid the postage, but i cant afford to pay the postage for you to do it for free

  • If one sends a slide in a regular envelope, couldn't it be crushed or snapped?

      depends on how well you pack it and label, you could remove it from the mount and place between some tissue paper or something soft and send just like a negative.

      as the article says $1 per slide (min of 10) up to 4600dpi - please forward queries to [email protected] as i wont always be monitoring this thread

    If you read the whole thing you will see it's $1 per slide with a minimum of 10 if you wish to proceed after the first "free" one
