Long Time user, first time poster.

Was looking for a Nespresso coffee machine for my folks and came upon this. Pretty good deal if you're living in NSW/ACT if you can pick it up. Make sure you use

  1. COLLECT15 when checking out on eBay ($296.65)
  2. Nespresso $100 Cashback ($196.65)
  3. 3.3% Cashback from CashRewards ($186.86)

Unfortunately I live in Melbourne and I don't know if Harvey or Myer or DJ will do a price match.

Just any FYI, Ive got this machine and am very impressed with the build quality and functions/features. Looks identical to the Delonghi which is $700+. This is a bargain price…..dammit!

Yep. Got mine last year and we're loving it

      • I'm pretty sure Santa got me one of these for Chrissy! :D

  • Kirt, unfortunately the 15% off Ebay is only applicable if you're doing a pickup instore. However even at $249~ it isn't too bad. But if good old Myer can price match it, I'd prefer to pick it up straight from there.

      True.

    • I bought this for delivery to melbourne and the code works!

Is the coffee going to taste any different from what I get out of my $93 Nespresso Inissia?
Edit: Although this does have a proper milk frothing wand. Probably worth it for that.

    • Yeah I'm thinking those machines punch through the capsule and then push water through it at a certain (a) pressure and (b) temperature.

I'm fairly certain the pressure is the same on all models (15 bar?). I'd be surprised if there is any difference.

    • It tasted worse than my Pixie. I think there is something wrong with the design.

  • I can't find any cashback details about the Nespresso in Breville's current promotion page.

  • I don't know much about coffee machines but I am keen to get one.
What's the difference between this one for example and one like this? (My question is in reference to the quality of the machine and the coffe rather than the dimensions, weight and price of course lol)

    • I've got a Nespresso Pixie at home. Coffee tastes the same from any machine you buy. Its what the machine is made off and how it looks that you pay more for. Also this comes with a steaming wand. Anyhow, its a gift for my old folks.

      • Give it a test drive when you receive it mate. We tried 3 of these and concluded there is a design flaw. Disgusting espresso compare to our trusted pixie.

  • Just bought one and the code works. Many thanks Op - can't complain for $196.65. Bargain! :)

  • I bought one too. I used the Christmas10 code on ebay for 10% off cos I don't qualify to pick it up in store ;)

It's been $299 on Binglee website with $100 rebate since last month. DJ pricematched Binglee website too.

Buyers beware. We tried 3 of this machine and it doesn't make the right nespresso quality espresso.

Espresso came out very watery and lacks the aroma and crema of usual nespresso. We thought we got a dud but after 3 machines I think there is a design flaw.

Our current machine is Pixie, had it for 4 years.

you do realise this machine has dials that give quite a granular control of extracted volume for the coffee, right?

I've had this machine for about a year and has been my favourite nespresso machine out of the 3 we've owned so far. (they last about 3-4 years before something breaks on them)

      • Yeah all the test were done with volume dial at 3, which gave the same volume as the short setting on pixie.

We tried 2 machines from DJ (cream colour) and 1 from binglee (red). Ran side by side comparison with our pixie. None of them gave the same espresso as Pixie. We found crema is much less and espresso tasted watery and aroma is not as strong.

Maybe you got a good machine a year ago but the ones we tried last month were all bad. I was quite disappointed because I really like the look and solid construction of this model. I even ordered steam wand mod for the machine, had to return it with all our maestria machines.

        if anyone's interested..
