  • TA, you should assist us in getting the Big W and Woolies local WA pick up when there is a bonus $100 voucher. I got my 500gb Samsung evo 850 for $145 (+$100 ebay voucher) from that. Worked out quite cheap. Thanks.

    • …and how does TA have any control over that?

        Magic ;-)

      • Just saying. U know TA is a powerful person!!

    Don't forget 3.3% cashrewards ;)

    • +2

Ah, thanks for mentioning that. I wasn't allowed to as I'd already posted a rep deal today, but was hoping someone would raise it. Cheers :)

    • A minimum spend of $100 per transaction applies.
So, if anyone is going after the 240GB, like me, cashrewards doesn't apply.

    ChristmARSE10 would've been good :))

    • Or KISSMEARSE

A Samsung 850 Pro deal would be nice :)

  • i have a $20 off ebay coupon that got emailed to me when i signed up a while back.
i just applied it to this deal to test it and it worked but i'm not going to purchase.
i noticed it expires today though so here it is if anyone else want to try it.

    SAUW2CB3CFMD

min $30 spend. not sure if it only applies to my account but you are welcome to try it. first come first served. if you use it please say so. and if its not one use only be sure to say.

    • Just tested it and it says "This redemption code is linked to another eBay account"

      • i guess that makes sense. worth a shot. i wish the stuff i bought today was via ebay :(

  • i'm pretty sure with the extension of the coupon, the max 2 uses was reset!

if someone else can confirm that would be great :)

  • Thanks TA

The 960gb drive is $350, and with 10% off, is $315.. couple with the cashrewards things of 3.3% off, it's nearly $300.. which is almost in Amazon territory..

    Nice deal..

Awesome deal. But any chance on a 480gb?around the 500gb mark ssd?
    TIA

    • Same here, waiting for a 500GB SSD.

  • Got error code 50010 for my second transaction using this code, complaining about incorrect code.

    Anyone else having this problem?

  • Where were they Yesterday? Got it from wirless1 for 110-10% :-)

  • Thanks TA. Just grabbed one.

  • Might be my last singular ssd purchase as my next upgrade will be a 2016 macbook that is unupgradeable :/

  • What is the best method to make this ssd my windows 10 drive. My computer upgraded to windows10 by itself…

    • Install via 8gb bootable USB

    • +1

Clean install is the way to go
      -Download Media creation Tool (https://www.microsoft.com/en-au/software-download/windows10)
-Create a bootable USB - at least 8gb in size.

This will be the November Windows 10 update (1511)

Dick Smith/David Jones have the 8GB Emtec USB drives on sale currently if you need one. They are slow, but should be fine for this purpose.

Alternatively, you could connect both drives (1 via USB adapter if using a laptop) and simply clone the existing drive onto the new one. I've done this using Acronis True Image which was included with a crucial SSD. Also works with a cloning a larger drive to a smaller one provided there is enough free space.

  • I ordered 2 and it came to a total of $195.98. Payed with paypal and it stung me $217.76?

    • Hi Valik,

Please make sure you apply coupon code "CHRISTMAS10" upon checkout.

      Cheers
      Francesca

      • I did that but Paypal still charged me the full amount.

        • Have you checked your bank account? In previous sales Paypal would show the full amount, but you don't get charged that amount.

        • @Clear: Thank you Clear, that's the usual case. PayPal will show full amount paid as $217.76, where the actual amount charged is $195.98.

      • Do u provide GST invoice for purchases?

        • Yes we do.

  • What's better if I'm going to use it as a portable ssd when I add an ssd enclosure.

The ssd plus or the ultra 2

  • Bought one.. Hoping to replace my existing laptop HDD during christmas holidays

  • Is this MLC or TLC ???

  • any deals on 960GB SSDs?
