Here in Australia we prefer to deal in Australian dollars, so a Phantom 3 Standard starts at $1,199.

That's a massive understatement. I've owned a Phantom 2 Vision for over 2 years and while I loved it to bits and it mostly performed flawlessly I was dreading what would happen if I needed customer support.
They are masters at marketing and produce excellent products but their Chinese ancestry is CLEARLY evident when you need to use support. The internet is full of the horror stories.
That sounds a bit racist.
