90

Must have ended up on a mailing list when I was in Florence and so I received this offer today. Very good deal if anyone is considering going to Florence

"Firenzecard is the official museum pass of City of Florence. It costs 72€, it is valid for 72 hours starting from the first entrance and it allows you to enter only once into all the museums of the Circuit and to visit permanent collections and temporary exhibitions. With the card you can enjoy the priority access to museums with no need to make reservation. It is promoted by the Municipality of Florence, the Ministry for the Arts and Cultural Activities, the Metropolitan Municipality of Florence and the Chamber of Commerce of Florence."

  • 72 hours at 72 Museums

Not sure if 1 hour at each museum will be enough ???

    • Of course you're not going to all 72, I don't know anyone that would. Just see everything you'd like to.

Of course you're not going to all 72

not really, average opening hours is 8am to 6pm = 10 hours per day > 30 hours available to visit museums (72 div 24) = 25 minutes in each museum. of course, not calculating toilet or meals break times nor time to move from one to another. just trying to help someone with high expectations but low disappointment levels.

      • I was thinking the same. Glad you worked it out so I don't have to :D

      • 25 minutes in each museum. of course

Has anyone worked out the quickest route between each museum?

I assume after travel is taken into account, you'd be down to about 20 mins each…

Should probably read the whole thing :P

      You killed it. Nice job.

  • factor 2hr queues for the major exhibits into the equation and it isnt so cheap!

    • The card includes priority access. I still recommend buying a tour for more popular museums though as then you have access via the tour line which is about 10 minutes wait max.

  • But this is the standard price.. You've just been spammed with no real deal.

    • Really? I paid more when I bought it 6 or so months ago..

      • Did you go through the official site?

Here is an article from 2013 updated June of this year that says the price remains at 72 euro.

I was in Florence last month and although I didn't use this card I remember thinking it was around $100 which is just a bit less than 72. More research may be required but I'm pretty sure this is the standard price.
