Practically useless for indoor cooling where the humidity quickly builds up. Not bad for outdoor cooling in say a workshop/ shed where there is plenty of airflow and you can direct it on yourself.

The motor in it probably heats up the room more than any cooling affect.

Yeah rubbish, even in Melb where there's bugga all humidity? Buy a box/pedestal fan & use the $'s saved at the bottlo.

    • Perfect device to add more humidity, without creating additional any cooling.

Perhaps these work OK for Adelaide and Canberra, but absolutely useless on the east coast (and Melbourne as mentioned above by supabrudda).

To get cool (effectively) you need to remove humidity, not add to it. That way, just need a breeze and human perspiration will do the rest!

      • Doesn't really matter where you are, it could be 'dry as' and one of these will bring the humidity in a closed room up quickly and then it doesn't work.

Outdoors in a dry climate they work great, outdoors in a moist climate not so good.

For indoors anywhere - waste of time.

  • This is, in all material respects, the same as the Goldair at Masters ($99), or the Sunair at Crazysales ($109). or the Click at Bunnings ($99) - a generic model that is rebranded, with some cosmetic changes. It was $89 at Masters (and I had 15% off = $76) but we decided against it after reading the reviews and being advised against it by a staff member.
