    • I've learned that "Call to confirm Stock is at your store" usually means "call to be disappointed once Jackson (what's with the names of kids these days?) is off his tea break"

  • Great for the kids these holidays…

  • +7

    I wouldn't give kids permanent markers..asking for trouble..lol

Nice - bought an 8 pack for 10 bucks a few weeks ago, this is good deal.

  • +3

Thought I'd throw this in here as I'm not going to list it on it's own because like the $1 pack deal, this pack is no longer on the OW website. When seeking out the $1 deal I found this Texta Big Box Colouring Set for $3. Only place I could find a reference to it was Price Hipster which I'd never used before so thanks OP for that. https://www.pricehipster.com.au/product?id=41FN4o3h47x
Regular price of $14.98, marked as $7 on Price Hipster but bought for $3 in store at Vermont South, VIC.

EDIT - It's 50 textas (regular ones, ghost writers, colour changers etc) plus a colouring book.

WA stock only at Morley (limited stock)

    • And Freo and Vic Park lol

      • +1

That's odd, when I checked the website, I tried both NOR and SOR stores and Morley was the only one that showed as having any stock! OW's website is about as useful as DSE's sometimes LOL

    • Morley's stock is gone. Apparently someone went in this morning and bought all of them.

      • Dammit saw message above and was gonna go grab a set :( thanks for the update..saves me a trip

      • Wasn't me LOL. If it had been the Malaga or Joondalup stores, I would have gone for a look but couldn't be bothered trekking out to Morley on the off-chance that they still had some.

Nice price, but don't trust the stock information shown online. Just called the closest store that showed stock to have one set aside - they can't find any.

    • +3

The staff purchased after you alerted them…

  • South Melbourne and Richmond are only stores closest to the CBD thst have limited stock left

  • +1

Definitely none at Elizabeth St. Was just there.

  • +2

    Good price but no stock.

    • Doing a stock check shows a number of stores with 'Available at this store'

      Eg Mildura VIC 3500

Are you saying these stores no longer have stock?

      Thanks

      • +1

I just dropped into Hornsby NSW store, the website still claims there is plenty of stock with "Available in store NOW" (Chatswood is marked as "Limited, call for availablity"), but I grabbed the last one off the shelf and guy's handheld scanner said there was no stock in the store at all. So, the website incorrectly claims there is plenty of stock, the store scanner incorrectly claimed there was no stock despite there being at least one in the store.

But thanks Olokun, got me some $5 Sharpies. (No pooper joke here)

        • Thrift, just popped into the Chatswood OW store. Looks like you are holding the last one! Oh well

      • Definitely not on my local store, website says available, just came back none at all in store and the staff says it was the stock level from last year, and just updated in their system recently, and it will take a while for the changes to take effect in the website.
So yeah, this deal should be taken down as insufficient stocks.

        • staff says it was the stock level from last year, and just updated in their system recently

That makes no sense at all.. Are they suggesting that there is a system glitch which is showing stock levels from last year, or that it takes 1 year for the website to adjust stock levels.

        • @Olokun: I think it takes 1 year for them to realised that they don't have stock on hand but didn't update their stock level on the computer yet. Or maybe the staff just hoarding up for themself?

        • @Jackfruit:

Didn't know that Sharpies were so popular with the sticky bandits. Perhaps OW should be doing weekly stocktake on these items instead of annually.

  • These will definitely be popular with a certain subreddit.

    • No 'butts' about it? 😀

      • +1

Is that why there are lots of brown sharpies around?

  • No Stock Gold Coast

    • thanks.

  • +1

    No stock Bondi Junction

  • As seen on /r/buttsharpies!

    • sigh…I knew I shouldn't have googled it, but I did…

  • No stock Dandenong Vic

  • No stock Mornington, Vic

  • Did anyone manage to get one at all?
No stock in Milton or Browns Plains, QLD

    • Milton has 6 "in stock" but no one knows if they do or not.

      • I called both and checked. The Milton rep never had any sharpie sets in stock before. Browns plains said they are discontinued line, so hasn't had them for a while.
Wonder where actually has got them in stock

      • probably includes the opened pack that is now only 1/4 full - there's your 6 there

  • Website said was available in Kew,vic.I immediately called them and they said they have no stock. Don't trust what you see online folks.

ditto after my recent exploits with an online dating service

  • Went to the Lewisham store that supposedly has stock. SAP system showing 18 in store. Box with stock very conveniently "missing". Nice one.
