Sennheiser Urbanite XL Wireless $348 at Harvey Norman + $150 EFTPOS Card via Redemption

160

I called up HN North Ryde to price match Bing Lee's $336.75 Urbanite XL Wireless. Last stock for the wireless version in NSW is at Marrickville Bing Lee.

The salesperson mentioned that HN have it on special for $346 already but it doesn't seem to be advertised. He pricematched to $336 anyway for me.
The website still has RRP so I'd suggest calling up the store you want to buy it from HN and confirm the $346 price

With the $150 cashback it comes down to $196

EDIT:
It's listed online now at $348!
With the $25 newsletter voucher it comes down to $323

The wireless ones are mentioned in this deal from the other day
    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/226785

    • That was for binglee, icejester is saying harvey norman are selling it at this price, though you may have to call them to check

Buy something else to bump the total transaction over $350 and use the Amex HN deal to get a $50 statement credit as well, making it close to $150

  • from us site: “Warning (for California residents only): Please note per Proposition 65 that this product may contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.”

Phew. Only Californians are will get cancer if they use this, not us.

If you have ever been to California this sign is on just about every business building. Means nothing

Harvey Norman have the regular xl for $347, not the wireless. Not a new deal. I got Harvey Norman to price match the wireless as per the original deal.

    • I'm sure it's the wireless for $346 discounted price.
The regular wired XL is labelled as $347 probably but they may also have an unadvertised discount

  • I got it price matched at hn Gordon nsw. Broadway also agreed. At Gordon the guy said something about no stock at binglee, need to call, etc but at the end, due to Christmas spirit, he gave it to me for $336, 75cents cheaper than binglee after discount!
Of course I buy something else to bring total over $350 and get confirmation immediately from Amex of $50 credit.

At hn, promo price is $398 at store, not $498 at website

Got garden city bne to price. Ask for staff rate extended warranty/customer care which is an extra $22 for 1 year bringing it to $158 with 3 years warranty (including cash backs).

  • Guys this has gone live on their website, its actualy $348, but at least you can combine, $25 coupon and $50 amex deal plus cashback will make them net price $123

  • Amazing just one day different I thought I got a good deal but todays price is cheaper than yesterday.

    Oh…

  • Thanks!

  • Grabbed a set and a Samsung USB stick to bring it to $352. Got an email straight away from AMEX saying they'd recorded a Harvey's transaction and the $50 credit would be in my account within 5 days. Picking up from local store. So by my sums:

    $352-
    $150-
    $50=

    $152 total

    • Missing out $25 from welcome code, but on the other hand you can start listening to it instead of spending Christmas and new year without tunes.

      • No, I applied the $25 welcome code. That bought it down to $323 but then had to spend an additional $27 to get the total to $350 to get the Amex bonus $50 credit.

        • From the time you order how long you have to wait until able to pickup fro your chosen store?

        • @eisniwre:

Got email saying it was ready at 3:58.

  • what a relief that wireless1 ran out of stock and HN was doing the welcome $25 off voucher

grabbed this plus a 52mm filter for my nikon lens to bring it back up to $351 then amex'ed it :D

$351-$50-$150 = $151 for this headphones + a lens filter is awesome value

    • hey, can you tell me where the receipt number is?

Also, if I made an exchange because the first pair was faulty and they issued me with 2 new receipts, do I upload all 3 receipts of the transaction just to be safe?

      • i cant do the cashback until they let me collect it as the serial number is required, ill let you know tomorrow when my collect from store is ready

Why is it $100 cash back through wireless1?

    http://www.wireless1.com.au/sennheiser-urbanite-xl-black

    • Because your link us for wired… Wireless cash back is $150..

      • Oops, almost drop the ball, thanks!

  • can someone who purchased from Harvey tell me where the receipt number is?

Also, if I made an exchange because the first pair was faulty and they issued me with 2 new receipts, do I upload all 3 receipts of the transaction just to be safe?

    • I've just submitted my cashback claim (purchased online yesterday and picked up today). The physical receipt doesn't state 'receipt number', however the tax invoice (emailed to me) had a 'tax invoice number', which corresponds to the 'online order number'. So I entered that.

      Per the cashback T&Cs:
I've made a mistake on my registration. What should I do?
Simply contact us at [email protected] and we'll update your registration for you. There is no need to register again.

They probably anticipate data entry errors and seem to be reasonable with handling them.

i just put receipt number as the invoice number i got from HN. we have to upload our receipt anyway so they can have a look and decide which number is correct :D

        • just to double check, how many letters/figures was your receipt number? (so i know where to look on my physical receipt)

        • @lemonadeskies: 6 digits starts with 9. look for under TAX INVOICE

        • my physical receipt has a 7 letter digit code right next to 'tax invoice', would that be it? worried cause you say 6 digits.. ?

  • FYI for those sitting on the purchasing fence…

Per the cashback T&Cs (who reads these anyway???):

How do I claim my Eftpos Gift Card?

It's simple, just follow these steps:
    1. Purchase (1) participating set of Sennheiser Urbanite Headphones from a participating JB Hi Fi Retailer between 1st November and 31st December 2015.
    2. Complete your online registration by 14th January 2016.
    3. You will need to provide copies of your proof of purchase via an Upload of your your receipt. To do so, follow the prompts during online registration.

OP perhaps update that purchases have to be made by 31st Dec.

I just noticed point (1) above states participating JB Hi Fi Retailer though I think this is a typo.

dont worry, i have submitted mine and on the official sennsh page for cashback, there is drop down menu to choose where you bought, and there are lot more stores not just jbhi. check other urbanite thread for full list, but HN is one of them.

  • Does anyone know with the cash back, since it's probably going to be a Visa card are you able to get the $150 cash out?
Looking at picking these up as I need a new pair of headphones, tried them on felt great! Though forking out $350 for them is a bit steep so I'd rather be able to get the cash out if possible?

    • As far I understand that would be like eftpos card so you can use at any coles etc.

Felt great?yeah probably but wait until you try the touch panel. Now I get why this has been heavily discounted. Stupid design on the touch panel. And a bit heavy.

      • Ahhh sweet easy cash out then.

I tried the wired ones on at jb as they wireless were unavailable to try on. I heard the touch pad is a bit bulky and to sensitive. Though a $400-$500 product dropping to $150 is pretty darn good

        • i check pictures online seems like the wired also has similar size of panel with the wireless model. not sure what they put in there! $150? more like $137 or even less if you are travelling overseas (since the receipt is over $300)
          :D

        • @eisniwre: thought they would be slightly different since there's no need for the wireless components. Strange by Sennheiser.
Ahhhh good tip! Will have to keep the receipt for when I'm overseas next! Cheers!

        • @Johno1989: probably to save production cost, made same panel but one is hollow haha. yeah cash back is one big loophole, you get gst back $30 from $3xx but actually paid $136!
