Hi, Im new here. absolutely love the deals and and the informative comments.
After seeing this deal, I joined scoopon and visa checkout. got this deal but visa checkout charged me $1.39
separately from the $70. anyone else get this charge?and sorry about the Noob question: after buying this, i now have a scoopon in my account, does anything further need to be done with this .. it says "mark it used etc. "

Its a VISA test charge to your CC to check validity.thanks ahara
set a notice in your calendar etc for January 8th which is when they should email you the actual voucher.

hahaha classic….i've been eating/drinking large all day and decide to log onto OZB for 5min and happen to snag the bargain of the day. Too bad it didnt last longer.
I literally bought one for my wife about 5 minutes before it was marked "SOLD OUT". I had to create an account for her as well as setup Visa Checkout. I had to chase her for her credit card ….. Which is quite funny.
I managed to get one before it sold out. Now looking foward to receiving my cancellation email and refund!
Yeah, I hope they don't make the excuse that it was less than $80 after discount.
However, it is still a good idea to put an alarm in your smartphone to make sure your e-gift card actually arrives. Lots of horror stories of people randomly losing stuff on whirlpool and other social media sites. (includes things such as missing westfield gift card paid via v.me [old visa checkout])

Surely if you have to spend upto a certain amount to use a code they can't expect it to still be above that amount once the code is applied? Tried clicking the promo code banner but wouldn't open up for me to read T&Cs…

Hey, I joined visa checkout using MasterCard. I then get a SMS saying a transaction for 1.39 was blocked as I have international transactions locked. Anyone else experience this?
Yep. You have have locked international transactions on your credit card. You usually can unlock it online.
Yes, but why did they try to withdraw 1.39 as all I did was join, not purchase anything? Sounds SUS to me.
Could be a test charge to see if your cc was valid
They didn't "try to withdraw 1.39" - it is a pending payment that will later be withdrawn. It verifies your account once before processing payments.
I've had the same issue - payment refused as I had locked international payments. Changed payment to another Mastercard & payment was approved. $1.39 is still pending on that account.
Nothing sus about it, it's quite common when you register a new card on websites like this to pay for things that the company takes a small amount out temporarily.

Did anyone notice that the scoopon email text says that the egift card will expire on 16th December 2017 but the terms and conditions in the egift card says it will expire 12 months after issue date (which was yesterday)
It's a mistake on the egift card (and the email). Enter you card number and pin here https://manage.everydaygiftcards.com.au/ and it will tell you the real expiry. Mine is 7/1/2017.
Hang on, the scoopon was for 24 months wasn't it? I've just read 2017 and thought "that's 2 years from now". My brain hasn't caught up to 2016 yet.
Regardless, I don't care about the expiry; I've already converted mine to a physical gift card. The credit will be lucky to last a few weeks.so a egift card can be used to buy physical gift card?
@avitherock: yes. I do this because some Caltex don't accept egift but they do accept physical wish gift cards.
Also physical cards have a higher WAF@LJackson: will do that.. but i just confirmation from Scoopon that the expiry date is 16th december 2017. She was adamant to contact them if any issue since the giftcards were purchased from them. See below:
