Great price for what is still one of the best controllers for PC. The cables are very generous on these too, I still get mine out from time to time (have gone wireless) when someone is over and wants to play some 2up Dirt

    Yay 7 +s :D

Remember to actually select express post when at the checkout, otherwise it will ship as standard. :p

I have to sleep on this deal. Already have this wired controller for the 360 and I've been using it for close to 3 years. Other than the sticker on the back lifting and a squeaky right trigger, I don't really have a reason to buy another.

I would recommend it to anyone. The wire is something like 2m or 3m long. P&P for the PC. Great controller for emulators too.

Just to re-emphasise this guys post.

Ignore the $8 price tag on the express shipping. Once you express shipping, the amount discounted goes up, and your $26 price tag stays the same.

  • Great price, paid $40 for this last year just for Ori and the Blind Forest :-).

  • Since MS seem so into value adding for the XBOne, I wish they would make 360 controllers backwards compatible. I know that the wireless ones work on a different frequency but it should be pretty easy to add support for the wired ones and even the wireless dongle…

    Sigh.

    • If you really want to use 360 controller on Xbox one/PS4, you can use cronusMAX.

      • But they're like $70 which defeats the purpose as for that price you might as well buy a new controller for the platform.

        • Yes i know. That is why i said if he really want to do that. Many people including myself still like 360 controller more than one.

Xbox one with windows 10 can be used to emulate xbox 360 controller as one maybe :).

        • I actually prefer the Xbone controller (the dpad is more rigid and very responsive because they click) but the sticks are too small and it tends to be more narrow and less curvy than the 360 one.

  • Staticice shows a few stores are a bit cheaper (and some same price). Might be good for locals to go pick up if you're in a hurry to get one. Obviously at this time of year it's best to contact store for opening hours and stock levels before going.

Edit: btw, it's a great controller.

  • 1+ cause I love the controller but I'd still suggest waiting for the annual MS 30% rebate. Got another PC wireless controller last year for $30 or something ridiculous.

    • +1

But OP says current sale is 35% off.

Edit: Wireless controller with PC USB adapter also 35% off w/ free shipping.

Looks like most X360 accessories are 35% off.

      • that annual sale though is 30% off the RRP. I bought the 360 wireless pc kit for $39 which is below the RRP and then got 30% off the RRP as a rebate. Can't recall what the RRP price is though. But it ended up being cheap as chips and they seem to do this January every year.

  • Great price, less lag.

  • I'd recommend the Xbone controller unless you don't want to pay the extra. The dpad on the 360 pad is terrible.

    • +1

it really is terrible, playing shovel knight with one of these actually made the game harder XD

  • hhhnnnnggg….just overpaid…this very morning.

    • I feel your pain, missed ebay 15% deal by a day for a $400 purchase

      • +1

        hhnnngg for you too there.

  • +2

For those who are too cheap to pay $26, used Xbox 360 controllers are sold at EB Games for ~$12. Definitely the best controller for PC (apart from Xbone controller)

    • EB looked me dead in the eye and told me used were $36. I need your EB.

    • Brilliant. Didn't know that. I just wanted one to try out some racing games. Checked the website and it does indeed say the preowned wired controllers are $12 and wireless are $35.

    • if you could find one.

  • site is slowwwwwwww

  • EB has wireless PC versions of 360 controls for 47 dollars brand new

      Tru dat.

      I wonder if it 's actually different…

      • just the adapter for the PC is the only difference I believe. Purchased the wireless PC one from the rebate deal, stuck the cables/adapter in drawer somewhere and using the controller for my x-box.

      • delete

    • Here is the full listing. The wireless PC version available as well for $13 more.

    • Thank you, that's all I wanted one for so the kids have a second controller. Had big troubles trying to go through checkout with a PayPal account that has a different email address to my Microsoft account (no error message stating this, just kept on looping back). Gone through now though by doing credit card instead.

      Thanks for the heads up.

For anyone wondering, this WILL work on PC.

The 'for Windows' version just comes with a WinXP driver:

      http://www.gamespot.com/articles/xbox-360-pc-controller-conf…

I also confirmed with a rep on live chat (using product ID) that this will work on PC.

      • Does the PC one work with XBOX too?

Are these just the same things, different packaging?

        Edit: YES IT DOES!

The Xbox 360 Controller for Windows features an extended 2.7-metre cable and an improved ergonomic design. The centralised, glowing Xbox Guide Button grants you quick access to your digital movie, music, and games libraries. The ultimate in gamer flexibility, precision, control, quality, and comfort are all yours, whether you're playing on your Xbox 360 or your Windows-based PC.

This "PC" controller will work on the Xbox too

why would an Xbox 360 controller for PC not work on PC ?

why would that need to be confirmed?

        am I missing something?

it's exactly the same controller, the PC one comes with wifi dongle and the wired one has drivers built into the OS

        • Makoto, are you the tattoo artist?

        • @inose: are you a nose?

        • @Makoto:

          Thought that was pretty obvious…

So you're not the one in West ryde?

        • Exactly. It says PC in the title. What am I missing?

        • Yes, I think you guys are missing something

In reply to Makoto RE the PC one coming with a wifi dongle; if you're referring to the the one linked in the deal… no it doesn't. The deal above is for a wired controller.

MS released two Xbox 360 wired controller packages… one of which has "for Windows" in its name. This is the one in the original deal above and is not in stock anymore

addict posted a link to the one without "for Windows" on the Microsoft store which is still in stock:

          http://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msaus/en_AU/pdp/Xbox-360…

There is no mention of it working on PC on the store page, so there's confusion RE whether it will work on a Windows PC.

My post above was just confirming that the one without "for Windows" in its name works on PC. The only difference is that the "for Windows" version comes with drivers for Windows XP… which you can download anyway.

  • will this work on nvidia shield tv?
