    • You need to put your valid credit card details if you order an item that is more than 1cent

          i ordered two kids pairs, invoice only showed one pair with -$50 discount, however discount was ignored and total amount still applied.

    Farrrr outt!! My code didn't apply properly, and before you get a chance to clarify your order, it just says that I've paid with my credit card!!

    I clicked update several times but as that didn't work I thought the code would just be applied since I typed it in.

    So pi**ed off now!! I called the support line and I'm sure they were just hanging up the phone… There was still half an hour left until 5pm, but I guess NYE gets people acting funny if they're at work, and didn't want to take the call :(

      • Same here, and their call center is not working for me. Line disconnects after few seconds.

    • their confirmation email does say 14 business days

    • I was able to update my address by contacting the call center and they have done that. Should get shipped soon I reckon. Hopefully it arrives in time for our anniversary :)

    I'm so sick of BUPA, I'll be moving to a different insurer. They've given me nothing and constantly been a pain to deal with.

  • received the same email. But under the Australian Consumer Law, businesses must not accept payment for products or services they do not intend to supply. There was no "limited stock sale" mentioned on their web page prior to check-out. Their web page was still accepting new orders for this product, and the Postage information on my order confirmation is 6 business days.

  • Make the process a little more difficult for them and lodge credit card charge backs and paypal disputes.

    Bummer, yeah got the same email. Ahh well. The 30pc discount given as 'compensation' is a bit of a joke too as it only applies to 'regular priced' items which are way overmarked initially anyway.

    No doubt they stuffed up the implementation initially. Unintentional incompetence.

    200+ votes on this and 300+ votes on the other bupa deal, and the deals aren't even honoured. Too many trigger happy ozbargainers just voting +1 instantly. There should be an option for deals that if they turn out to not be honoured, all votes should automatically turn into neg votes.

  • One refund already received. I don't see the need to initiate a charge back. They have sent an email acknowledging you will receive your refund. I honestly don't think they will take 30 business days.

    I've lodged a complaint with Fair Trading online - easy to do - provide screenshots of items still for sale. This is considered bait tactics and if a few of us complain they will initiate a formal investigation.

    This is super dodgy because they still have stock online and in store, they simply don't want to fulfill ANY orders at the discounted price.

    Cancelled my bupa membership, not just because of this, but it was the final nail in the coffin.

    • Who did you go with? - I need to put some time aside to compare policies, maybe we can all arrange a mass OB offer for those of us who want to switch. I'm sure there would be a salesman looking to meet some quota :)

        Went between Frank and Medibank.

        Ended with medibank due to their gapcover policy.

        Honestly, health insurance is utter shit. It's the most deliberately complicated and horrible shit imaginable. The whole thing about "no gap" actually meaning "yes, gap", and "known gap" meaning no gap, but maybe a gap. It's hell.

        You actually find out a lot more about policies by going to the "provider" section of the insurer website and pretending to be a doctor than you do on the consumer side.

    Hi All.
    I just registered to be able to comment on BUPA recently online offer. I think the offer leaves a lot of ?????. Thanks to Dandandan for BUPA MD email address. I just wrote to him to complain not only on the 30days for a refund but also my account was debited for declined purchased and their non reply to my mail enquiry regarding this matter. This show how efficient they are. Someone mentioned doggy n I concur. Will update once I receive MD's reply.

    Thought I would register as well as I just got a reply from BUPA regarding my complaint I sent for the order being cancelled:

    Thank you for your recent enquiry and I apologise for the delayed response.

    The purpose of the stock clearance page from which you made your order is to clear out some limited stock items. These were only available while stocks last. Given we do not advertise these discounted items, we have not previously experienced the surge in demand that occurred when a link to this page was added to Ozbargain.com.au

    The interest generated by this clearance far exceeded our expectations. We acknowledge this error and apologise for allowing orders to be placed after the clearance stock had been depleted. The reduced prices do not apply to newer models of sunglasses which have replaced the limited stock items. We are taking steps to ensure this kind of error does not occur again.

    As we are not able to supply your online purchase at the reduced price a full refund is being provided.

    I can understand being upset about the delay in receiving a refund but rest assured we are working as hard as we can and have already started providing refunds. 30 days is the maximum time it will take but some refunds have already been processed and we hope to have them all done well before the 30 day mark.

    Once again I apologise for the delay and we’ll process your refund as soon as we can.

    What a joke… will be lodging a complain with fair trading as per the above link!

        Polite yes, but not logical - they have the item back in stock!
        And yes I am disappointed not to get the sunglasses that I PAID $44 for.

    Did anyone receive their orders? I had both mine cancelled - one of which they took money from my credit card for. Not impressed. Scam.

    Have had no replies from multiple contacts via their website, despite saying less than 24 hours for a reply. Same deal with Harvey Norman. I'm changing healthcare providers, this is just unacceptable.
