Looks like it is $0.50 cheaper than the previous deal, hope it helps someone!

You could also try the coupon code PMHUGADQ for 5% off the order, but I am unsure if the code works as you need an account to use it and I did not create one. Coupon only applies to full price.

So… this GoPro ripoff… is it any good?

    • +2

I just bought the whole package for 150aud delivered, there are many reviews and comparisons on YouTube and the result seems to be that the xiaomi is better than the go pro 3 but not as good as the go pro 4 but for the $$ I'm happy to go with the xiaomi.

      • Thanks. How do you think this would work as adashcam?

      • Which accessory bundle did you get with it for $150?

I got the following from gearbest, seemed a little cheaper but if the 5% works than it might be on par.

        • @radem12:
Did you recently order this ? I get $75.79 USD for the camera when I look

        • @geordie: 30th December, it looks like the price has gone up so this looks the best now.

going by your logic inose, anyone that made a telephone after the very first model telephone released is a rip off

anyone that made a car ripped it off

anyone that makes anything that isnt the exact original is a rip off

    • For what you pay it's not bad, it's settings are controlled by the phone app which can be painful but once setup the picture and video quality are good for the money, GoPro 3 < Xiamoi Yi < GoPro 4. We went on a road trip around NZ so I bought this with a waterproof case for $145 and then bought a bunch of Yi accessories for $65 from Gearbest, 64GB microSD card for $30 and a GoPro accessories pack off Ebay for $30. The pack had heaps of stuff but we used the underwater floaty stick, car suction mount, and head strap the most on our trip. All up paid around $270 for the Xiaomi Yi and plenty of accessories which took lots of quality holiday footage and photos so overall I'm pretty happy despite the tedious UI access. I might have just got a GoPro 3 on its own for that money.

PMHUGADQ gives you 5% off sitewide. It will work for new and old accounts.

    • Oo thanks. My mistake, the caption for the coupon code on ozvoucher states it is $5.00 of $250 max spend, but if you follow it through to the description it does indeed state 5% off. I have corrected the post.

      • Looks like the mods made a typo when they approved my submission.

    • Hi Clear,

The price is changed to the original price ($82usd instead of $62usd).

Is there any code for 5% off discounted price?

      • Looks like it only works for products not already on sale. I can't get any extra coupons for a while sorry.

  • How much for the cat harness?

  • Is this the original Xiaomi , how can one tell ?

    • +1

Technically speaking it's actually Xiao Yi, but there have been no fakes of this camera. They generally only rip off the SJCAMs.

The code PMHUGADQ works off original price only ($82 usd) so you end up paying $77.89USD instead of $62 (which equals the $88aud)

    • Yes, this. It's $62USD if you merely add it to the cart and pay, but changes to ~$77 ($82-5%) if you add the above coupon. Unless of course, I'm missing something while clicking around, which is entirely possible!

So er, don't add the coupon in the OP.

  • I've only ever bought one thing from Geekbuying - a set of headphones on 2015-11-05 and they've never arrived. The tracking information shows them being processed in KL, but nothing since.

Geekbuying's tracking support suggested that I should ask my local post office if they were there…

Order number? I'll see what I can do.

  • Hi Clear, how accurate is the 3-5 business days estimate for delivery? Just inquiring as I am leaving for a trip on January 20. Is there any difference between using TNT, DHL or EMS? Just confused about how come DHL and EMS are more expensive but have the same estimates (or are slower).

    • +1

go DHL as hopefully 95% of the time they handle it from start to finish rather than pass it onto some other useless idiots (like AusPost for example)

i've had a package shipped from the other side of the world in 2 days and it's since been sitting with AusPost for delivery nearly a week now to go from Sydney airport to Sydney

      • +1

oh man sounds like auspost alright… I've had some real horror stories with them too

    • 3-5 days is how long it will take to arrive after it has been shipped. This time does not include processing which takes anywhere between a day to a week. I'd recommend using TNT or DHL as EMS gets passed onto Auspost once it reaches our shores.

  • Thanks ordered the camera and a water proof case.
