  • Coupon is COO20

    • And supposedly ends at 23.59pm (AEDT) on 9 January 2016 (unless they feel like changing it…)

  • +5

    Not all of eBay sadly

  • +1

    Any bargains?

    • +4

make sure you check price at www.oo.com.au as well before committing to buy from their eBay store.

  • NOT working just now

  • Only works at OO store

  • +8

Weird cheap store with tacky items?

  • +1
  • +24
    • +7

That is why there are Deal Posting Guidelines when posting general sales like this.
      From the Wiki -
People generally value their time. If you know there is a good bargain or two in a sale, catalogue or store, it's a good idea to mention one or even two bargains, in the title, and provide direct links where possible, to those items.
Deal posts that reference a sale, catalogue or store but don't provide enough information to find at least one bargain, may be unpublished.

      • +3

Yeah there's not a thing there worth buying or a bargain to say the least

  • +6

Yes, the items I usually buy from oo.com.au are all exactly 20% more expensive on their eBay store!

  • +16

Whoa…17+ Votes and counting in under 30mins for a deal that to me is not worth a + vote. People dish these votes out with far too much ease, or is it a bunch of employees at OO that have OzBargain accounts and are jacking up the positives? Weird…

    • +3

Yeah, I would love to know what members have found that's worth buying?
Please share your bargains, isn't that what this site is all about?

      • +3

Yep, I trawled the OO/eBay site and found NOTHING worthwhile.

        • +1

agree. Its hard enough finding something that I want, let alone at a reasonable price that would warrant calling this a deal.

    • No, just people who dont have high deal standards

    • +1

No, Most of the people thought its a deal on complete ebay site. Which created this confusion.

  • Dont forget the 4.4% cashback from ebay

    • It's now 1%.

  • No use if the eBay prices have been jacked

    • +2

      Wow, that's over double..

      • Incorrect see my comment below. Professionals know to compare the total cost, including shipping fees..

        • Wow, tell us more, you Professional Ebay Purchaser.

        • @jjcf:
If you don't include shipping costs, then you aren't really comparing costs effectively…

Which is what jaycasanova has done & is presenting false information.

        • -5

@nismo: I guess he just isn't as pro at purchasing goods and services as you. Maybe he should take a course or something.

    • +3

"Just wow" is a little exaggerated…

Prices including shipping (but not cash back):

Ebay $42 after discount (includes delivery)
      OO.com.au $41 ($25 + $16 delivery)

Still not a great result, but might be slightly cheaper via eBay after 4.4% CR.

    • +2

I don't think they're using eBay as a serious sales channel but rather as price comparison bait to drive more sales from their web store.

    • "the price differences: JUST WOW"

In this case at least, the eBay listing has not had the price modified in recent history so it has not been hiked for this 20% offer. It's that bad normally.

    • I'm sick of the deliberately deceptive marketing around % discounts upon inflated prices that has been creeping into the country last few year.

      Should be criminal :(

  • +3

Everything good is either jacked or out of stock….

  • +4

More expensive, even with coupon, than the original store.

  • +3

Be careful, most items I've looked at are about 80% dearer than on their website. Even with free shipping this is ridiculous.

  • +2

Poor form. Seems they've taken a page out of dickies rule book on sales.

    • +2

And look what's happened to DSE now.

    • I think on this occasion oo.com have shown that they are the real dicks in online retailing.

  • +1

Would you believe it, I found something that is cheaper on ebay than website:

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Bissell-QuickWash-Upright-Dee…

    http://www.oo.com.au/Bissell-QuickWash-Deep-Cleaner_P246753.…

    Still, no deal.

  • +1

There are some good prices on rugs with free delivery. eg Modern Beige Brown Rug Wave Design 330x240cm is $157.56. I can't find anything I like though.

  • What a shame. They had some great deals a few weeks back.

  • Also a maximum of $300 discount per transaction, take that into consideration when buying.

  • Scam deal.

  • +1

List something that's a bargain then we'll talk!

  • Any good bookshelvelfs??

  • So not a bargain

  • What a shame if not for the eBayOOscam this coulda been a great deal. Next!

  • +1

ends at 23.59pm (AEDT) on 9 January 2016…. or whenever ebay decide to 'revise the conditions' and terminate it early

  • No use if the eBay prices have been jacked

This is the biggest problem with these eTailers, there should be a body corporate like the retail watchdog to fine these idiots.

I'm sick of seeing 15% this and that only to find last week it was 15% cheaper.

  • +1

Wow, everyone woke up in a bad mood today, must be a Tuesday thing.
I take that back, I just checked the Price history, Bad move by Only online.

  • ebay deal is far more expensive then their own online store, so it is not a deal! some items even cheaper at online store compare to 20% off at Ebay store.

  • Wowsers, everything is so expensive!

  • Most items are more than 20% expensive in ebay store. Not a deal

  • I actually just purchased from this seller a week and a half ago. Just checked the same item today and it is 22.7% higher. Coincidence? I think not.

  • could not find any great bargain at all after this 20% off. Driving customers away only, i believe.

  • Scamalicious ….

  • Total scam, shame on you oo

  • Rip-off.

  • More expensive, even with coupon.

  • I wanted to buy some camera accessories so looked at the revision history on eBay and discovered they changed the "Buy It Now" price today. Then I compared the eBay price with their online store (after delivery) and low and behold…………

eBay is 17% more expensive than their online store.

You can factor in CR but it will still be more expensive.

  • waste of time, no deals here…

  • i've used them twice previously, both ended with me having to threaten them with a paypal dispute to get any kind of resolution… The 2nd time it took 2 months to get a refund for something that the never even had in stock.

i recommend everyone avoid OO like the plague.

  • These kind of sales are NOT working. eBay sellers simply raised the price before the sales.

To make this works, eBay need to disallow editing of price by participating retailers a few days before the sales begin.

  • 9 Drawers Tool Box Chest Red

    $107 + $25 Delivery @ OO

    $127 after code

    Not exactly 20% off.

    • Not exactly 20% off.

THIS. Smoke'n'mirrors ≠ deal or bargain.

  • I was after a soup maker so this was a good deal for me.

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-SHEFFIELD-Soup-Maker-Blender-…

    On their website it is $34.97 + $11.95 shipping = $46.92

On their eBay site it is normally $45.94 shipped and therefore $36.75 shipped with 20% off.

    • +4

I just tell my mum what soup I want and it will be ready in the evening. Much better and more reliable than any 'soup maker'

      • +1

hahaha I had one and I loved it but got it too wet while cleaning and didn't let it dry properly and blew a fuse. I just like the way it works :P

  • Some VERY VERY dubious items pricing on oo ebay

      • I bought 1 but at deals direct 25 delivered its on toll now get it tomorrow

  • Cheaper via their website, scam.

  • This looks like a sweet deal if anyone is in the market for an espresso machine and grinder + don't forget the 4.4% cashrewards cashback at the moment!

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Sunbeam-PU6910-Espresso-Bar-C…

In a Nutshell : FAIL SALE

  • Nova Red rectangular scale. 24.95 on oo.com.au
and $26.32 after discount on ebay. You can hardly call this a deal!!!

  • -2

Mods revoked my NEG VOTE ???? I think this is poor tactics by OO why can't I vote?

    • -1

Read the rules by clicking on one of the nine links in this thread, member for over 2 years.

      • My reason was legit, would you like me to find a comparison as to why this is a bad deal?

        • I never saw your reason, just letting you know there are rules that you mustn't of followed.

  • It isn't a sale if you mark it up…

  • These practices are despicable.

  • +1

As everyone else has said. Came for the codes, checked out some items. Even when you take 20% off their items, still more expensive than their website… I am determined to find a cheaper item on their eBay store… Don't hold your breath though…

  • Thanks OP.
Was after an cheap clothes dryer after mine kicked the bucket yesterday morning. Only gets used 3-4 times a year.

Mistral MTD4. Can't find it much cheaper than $299 online ($310 delivered on OO website). It's $255 on OO eBay, 20% off brings it to $204 delivered, then another 4.4% cashrewards.

Plenty of rip-offs on their eBay store, but there are a tiny handful of deals.

  • Deceitful advertising from Ebay, who would've thought?

  • very bad store, sells cheapo china stuff

    • 95% of everything is made in China. Just because a store sells stuff from China at competitive prices doesn't make them a bad store. You can always pay 3-4x more for locally manufactured or handmade items if you wish.

      • CHeapo china stuff meaning the fake stuff that break within a week that can be found from hong kong ebay for 3 dollars and stuff.

        • Ok. Well the item I ordered from OO was about $5 cheaper (delivered) than the identical item on ebay.com.hk (delievered). So I guess this won't apply to everything.

  • +1

    False advertising again.

Browse through the store and you will find most things are missing.
Only left with rubbish with jacked up prices.

This is worse than the emails I get from Dick.

  • +1

Been following an item for few weeks now. After this deal marked up 30%+

  • USB fan, $47.91 after discount!!! I bought the same in a lot of 5 for $25/5=$5.

  • Marketing banners were very deceptive in my opinion.

    • -1

So why did you upvote then?

  • Can't find any bargains here and it's more expensive than their website (as per many other comments).
