If you are worried about fingerprints, just give everyone a different code. You will end up with fingerprints everywhere.

  • Bought it and installed. No batteries included. Gotta buy 4xAA batteries to complete final process.

bought and installed. It turned out I spend quite few dollars to buy extra tools to install it.

The main issue is that it has no handle/knob with the deadlock. So it's not that handy when you unlock/open it or close/lock it.

  • Bought - thanks OP!

    Good for Airbnb

  • How waterproof is this guys?

    • ANSI A156.25 compliant - resistant to dust, rain and corrosion under variable temperatures

      • So only water resistant.. Can it be put on an external gate where it isn't shaded?

    • It has a rubber gasket that you fit behind the outdoor side of the lock, to create a weatherproof seal so water cannot get down the back.

  • Have been struggling to find a use of these gift cards (https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/190884). Finally got something good before they expire.

  • How does it compare to the KEVO lock? Tabtine is touch to open, with either a key fob or Bluetooth……..

  • Bought and fitted and back to the store. The touch screen never light up. Hopefully just the unlucky 5% faulty ones.

  • Anyone replaced a Lockwood 001 Deadlock with this? Did it require a holesaw?

  • Got quoted from locksmith to install on new door (requires new holes and strike) $150 :(
Would it be preferable to get a carpenter to install for cheaper?

Otherwise may have to purchase the necessary tools and DIY for cheaper

  • For those who are worried about it getting fingerprints. When you want to Unlock it, it asks to enter 4 Random numbers at the start, which are different every time. and then you follow with the actual pin.

I like the auto lock feature which I have set to 1 Minute as Sometimes I'm running late. My partner is in love with it.

My in laws(who are from Fiji) think it's just magic. Haha

Only thing missing is mobile phone app to unlock it wirelessly. or set up pins.

but for this price it's great.

  • Purchased and installed with ease. It even gave me some inspiration to paint and rejuvinate the door. Thanks OP

  • Can someone explain the auto lock feature please
    What does it mean

    • It means the deadbolt will auto-relock a set interval after being opened.

Our front door is set to 60 seconds - so once you unlock it, it will auto-relock after 60 seconds if you have not manually locked it (by tapping the screen outside, which we do when we leave the house, or turning the knob on the inside).

I manually relock it most of the time, to save the batteries. Of course if the door is open, the bolt will just stick out.

Looks like back to $89 again.

  • I have recently successfully installed this lock and it is working fine. I wonder if anyone able to mod the lock to include zigbee or Mwave connectivity?
