    Cheap, the limit kind of sucks though.

    • Weve had really mixed experiences with IKEA Logan enforcing limits with previous specials. Sometimes they'll send you away from the checkout, other times they will let people through with a trolley full.

  • Is this available in WA as well? Sometimes we get excluded

    • +2

      Nope, WA and SA are owned differently, different specials.

      • Damn, thanks Spackbace

    • +2

      Not sometimes, always….

  • Hope it's not sold out in first 30 min like that shoe cabinet

  • Per-customer limit is almost never enforced, give it a go, wouldn't hurt.

    • There's self checkout right?

      • Yes, and even at the traditional till, it most likely won't be enforced either.

        • Depends on the operator right. I never had the heart to enforce limits on customers

        • @tomkun01: pretty sure their managers tell them it's ok to ignore the limit. no one wants a longer queue because of that.

        • +4

          @levizx: don't worry I'll enforce it

  • Hate Ikea, takes hours forever to pay, long queues, store is like a maze taking you forever to get out.

      That place is definitely made for women.

      As a guy, if I want something, I go into a shop, take a straight line to the item, straight line to the checkout, then straight line to the car (ok might detour via the foodcourt).

      Can't stand the maze you gotta go through at Ikea, annoys me to no end!

      • I think it is done on purpose to make you buy more stuff you don't need!

  • This product became brittle and cracked within 6 months. I wouldn't buy it again.

    • You're not meant to leave it out in the sun. Though I'm not too sure what you'd expect for $4.

      • +4

        Who said he left it out in the sun? Maybe he paid full price for the item? Is it ok to expect a $10 plastic container not to crack?

          Who said he left it out in the sun?

          I did.

          Maybe he paid full price for the item?

          Yep, I'm sure he bought this exact same box considering that IKEA have only been selling it since yesterday.

          @Dagmar:
          Way to accuse somebody without any property evidence. I didn't leave it out in the sun; its just my experience they cracked quickly. For the record, Samla have been available for some time. There are even reviews on amazon dating back to 2013.

          @dontask:

          I'll be sure to get some property evidence.

      I have 4 of these box. they are kind of soft plastic which can bend a bit and very durable. much better than supermarket/officework's more expensive but crap quality.

      The only plastic containers I've had that haven't broken in some way were Starmaid. The longevity is effectively determined by the lid and whether it can hold up to stacking.

      • +1

        Went to bigw looking for it but only found storemate

      • As I recall the IKEA ones aren't as good as the Starmaid, but they never get this cheap, either. Still a bit better than other plastic tubs of this kind.

  • OP I take offence to the way the title is written.

  • Just to be specific, the lid and box are sold separately. It's like $3 for the box and 99c for the lid, you have to scan each item individually.

  • How do these compare to the bunnings 49litre ones with wheel?

    • It's a few years since I compared, but back then the IKEA ones broke far less often/early.

  • Already "sold out" at logan. They will put more on show each morning. They're deliberately putting out very limited stock so they don't have to sell so many at the reduced price. Fk ikea!

    If it were colesworth,they'd put all available stock on show and even give you a raincheck if you missed out

    • I've never seen that unless colesworth's "all available" stock is just one single pallet. Why would a business sell you all that many product at loss just to occupy ALL floor space so they can't sell things that are actually profitable?

      There must be around 1000 in one store in the morning when I got there. That's more than enough.

      • I used to work at ColesWorth and I know that store managers were encouraged, and did, put all available special stock on show. Of course there's a designated area for them, and that area is replenished when empty when possible.

        What Logan IKEA did, was to only stock the area in the morning and REFUSE to restock, even though they admitted to having stock out the back. To top it off, IKEA is a bitch to get to and terrible to navigate through. Complete waste of my time.
