This is the top of the line 2 in 1 hybrid from ASUS with the 2015 M-5Y71 core processor. Usually about $1400-1500 AUD here and rare as it usually ships with 4GB Ram. This model has the hi res screen.

It's also 416 GBP as it ships without VAT applied.

Had a play with one in Harvey Norman, also comparing the Spectre X2 and the Surface Pro 3 and 4. The Chi wins hands down on value and functionality.

  • ASUS global warranty, looks like accidental damage is covered as well.

Only negative is the battery, 32Wh, hopefully a higher capacity aftermarket battery comes available at some point. But this is the main complaint for the Surface Pro's as well (and just about all tablets/hybrids)

    Yep and it's unlocked as well. Hardly any difference to the 2016 processor range, Intel also did not unlock the 2016 processors

    It's probably about as fast as it gets for basic web browsing, word processing, booting etc. It's perfect for my uni stuff. Fantastic keyboard with a slighlty below avg trackpad. My only gripe with it is the poor battery life compared to the other premium laptops. It gets me about 6hrs at uni with basic use at 25% brightness.

    EDIT: oh, how can i forget. No bloody usb port, only micro usb. So you might wanna grab this as well if you can get combined shipping

    that was an awesome price, I would imagine below cost price for Dick Smith.. can't get anywhere near that now.

    Only difference is 8GB vs 4GB and the WQHD screen

    Just remember that if it comes from the UK that it will come with a UK English Keyboard, not the USA English Keyboard we use in Australia.

    Just keep in mind it only has a USB3 port on the tablet itself. The Micro-usb on the keyboard is only to charge the bluetooth keyboard.
    It should come with a rather bulky adapter in the box (I had to get mine sent out), but you can get a USB3 to USB adapter for about $1 on eBay.

    Also, for anyone interested in the output power of the USB port, it plays and burns DVDs using an external burner without a hitch, and works fine with every (portable) storage device I have tried.
