Waterproof Bag $19.99 on Sale from March 18th at Aldi (and Autobarn see below)

50

These are quite good bags for keeping your gear dry, they are very useful especially for those that travel to beaches and the such. The bag itself is quite big , 82cm high, im unsure at the moment how wide, but if matched with one from another brand that i own, it would be around 20L, and for that price, its definitely a bargain. Although it may be a duffle size bag. These usually cost from $20 for a 3L bag.

Waterproof Bag

Autobarn is having a sale on these bags, brand is Sea Sak. Orbital’s friend had this brand and said its not that good though =S

Similar to the other one i posted, so it seems most places are now stocking these. the description says they are water and air tight.

Cant really compare them to the Aldi version as we don’t know the capacity of it except its height.

From the website:
Top solution. A great way to store & transport all types of gear. Perfect for an afternoon at the beach, 4WD trip or a day on the boat. Completely water and air tight.

  • it looks like a good deal. Does anyone have any luck with these aldi deals? i never seem to find any of the (electronic) sale items

    • You have to be at the store on the Thursday morning the sale starts. Otherwise you'd miss out. They usually only stock a limited number of the electronic items at each store.

  • These bags are an absolute ripper. our mate got one while we was over in Thailand and it got a good work out while we traveled from island to island. we chucked it off a 15m cliff with 2 non water proof digital cameras, few wallets etc. and no water seeped in at all. mind the fact it was bobbing up and down for a good 30secs till someone swam and got it.

Definitely picking up one of these if you want to keep stuff dry in and around water!

    • uh… y would u chuck a camera let alone two cameras off a 15m cliff???

      • had to get some photos and video of us doing it, how else is it going to get down? (we basically had to rock climb up there, so once your up you have to jump to get back down)

  • I picked up a 30L PVC waterproof bag for $14.95 from the local boating & camping store for a recent island hopping holiday. These things are definitely worth it, and surprisingly cost more in Asia than Australia!

    • was it a water proof bag or a dry bag? as most places have different names for different items. i have a dry bag from kathmandu which is about $60 also but is more of a water resistant type compared to the product aldi is selling which is much more suited for motors sports and taking along the water.

yes they do cost a lot more in asian countries compared to australia. ive purchased one from thailand and phillipines and they have not let me down. there quality is quite good dependsing which ones you get. i would think the aldi would be of considerable quality

      • I picked up a waterproof bag, dragged it all around the phillipine islands with me, protecting my slr :)

my mate bought one of those dry bag's, think it was a sea-sak. no good at all for all that island hopping compared to the pvc variety, as it most definitely kept out water and when you roll it up, it keeps air in it for floating goodness ;-)

  • hi merc 250, perhaps we could combine the posts?

If you post the deal below, i would be more than happy to edit the OP to make it all fluent.

Also, in the unpublished post, you didnt say where we can buy it from?
