  Most of Nutella's calories are from fat, not sugar. Modern fixation with carbs ignores fat, for some reason - don't look here, look there!
  
  (I'll hazard a guess - most saturated fat and all of cholesterol is animal-sourced and high-margin, so, it wouldn't help those industries if people consumed less of their produce.)
