    The charger is a pretty good deal, though I note that it's a trickle charger from the time required. Also it is possible that the cells may have gone bad, but it's still a good deal. I once got a fast charger for $5 at an end-of-business sale, and they told me the cells were bad, and indeed they were.

    Just tried to checkout, they still have the 4 pack of AAA batteries available, but the charger and the torch are not able to be bought because they're on back order.
    Bummer. Not worth buying the batteries alone if i can't get the charger. Wanted to buy a torch as well.

    to the OP, you can get 4x eneloops for about $15 on Ebay inc shipping. Bought some myself a couple of weeks ago.

    If you needsome rechargable batteries best i have found is aldi. the 4 pack of 2500mah (from memory) is $10 and they work well.
