  • Been that price since xmas but I don't think it was posted.

  • Price error for sure. DS and JB just made too many errors on their pricing!

$229 is not a bad price but I would still go Amazon.

Probably mistaken it as desktop drive.

    Jbhifi $419
    Dicksmith $399

Not a price error. You are referring to the "Fast" version at JB Hi-Fi/Dick Smith.

4TB Fast is $429 at Officeworks.

Not an error, you can get it from Amazon for as little as AU$182.

    • Isn't that about $206 AUD once converted? About $20-somethnig more than Amazon.

Still makes me laugh I got the 5TB for $149 last year.

    • they make a 5TB Portable hard drive?

      • Apologies, I misread the title.

    • What's sad is the 'normal' price of a 2tb hard drive hasn't changed since 2012

      • It's expected that prices of hdds will only decrease slowly. SSDs will probably keep dropping in price and be the same price as HDDs soon (perhaps by the end if the year). The reason that HDDs don't decrease in price is because they cost almost that much to make, the profit margin is already very low. But for SSDs, the technology keeps improving and the chips are cheap.

  • Nearly had it for $193 during the eBay 15% off sale. I think sub $200 will be the bargain $$ for this product.

  • Thanks for posting OP, was cheaper from Amazon

  • $57.25 per tb

  • what's the speed for this drive?

  • from OW page;
    Product Dimensions (mm) 105W x 146D x 43H mm

43mm High? is it 2x2TB drives inside?
