Just saw this on the Myer website. I'm still unsure whether to bite the bullet now and buy a MacBook or wait it out for the next release. Unfortunately seems to only include the old Apple TV, not the new ones.

  Depends what the next release has …… 5th gen I5 is pretty sweet in my macbook air.

  I would not be swayed by the apple TV, rather good price and pocket the cash. My apple TV is a boat anchor compared to my mini PC TV box.

    I concur! The new processors are apparently quite a bit less power hungry, yet have better integrated graphics.

  My ATV 2 needs to go to Ebay between the mini PC on one TV and android TV box on the other TV, the ATV 2 we have will never be used.

  Probably better off buying a MacBook at OW since their prices are generally around 20% off retail.

  • https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/232742 = Save $319.8 on a 13.3inch macbook air. Could almost buy a new gen apple TV with the amount you save.

  Or you could just wait for a OW or JB Sale, much better value.
