  • A +ve vote for the deal, but I just collected one of the HT Toshiba drive deals on OzB this month!

  • If i would not have bought a WD320GB for 88$ last week, i would go for this one

    • if you purchased it from O.W. You can return the item back to them and get this one instead :D

  • Shipping? Surely I don't need to go through the entire process of opening an account just to find the shipping cost?

    • +3

If you go to the cart you can estimate the shipping to wherever you live

      • Ok thanks…..seems $11 minimum up to $19 for other states for standard delivery.

  • Bought the samsung…shipping is $11 standard, $13 express. There is also an option to pickup (somewhere near homebush)

  • nice…..but hmmmm 15 bucks shipping…..still a good deal….what the diff between samsung and wd??

  • could someone please tell me which one of these would work on the ps3 to watch movies and shows.

    thanks

    • You can connect these 2.5" external hard disks to PS3 by USB cable and they would work on the PS3 to watch movies and shows.

  • must resist the urge .. to buy another cheap HDD …. must resist ….

If it wasn't for the shipping cost, i'd get one…

      agreed…..

      • Agree too. 11 dollar shipping is a killer.

  • Hi Rep,
could we get any media player combo deal, i am looking to buy one media player and two 1 tb hard drives, prob. 3.5,

  • Are you able to remove the HDD from the enclosure and use it in other devices? I did a quick search on google and couldn't find anything :p Cheers

    • The warranty will be void if you remove the HDD from the enclosure :)

No - it is a usb interface built into the actual drive - see comments about 6 posts down

      Ozzie

      • Cheers mate

Give Ozbargainers free shipping and you got plenty of deals :)

  • not exactly a bargain with the extravagant shipping costs. i bought the 320GB toshiba @ $62 pickup

  • Hahaha totally agree about shipping. Still, for anything around 10$ you (well I can't) complain about the convenience of having it delivered to your home.
This is perfect timing! Was just looking for a 500gb 2.5 to shove in my MacBook. Bit worried about the warrantee void - might prefer to get one without a case then buy a case for the HDD I take out of my lappy - what do you guys think? And do you know and good cheap 2.5 cases? Maybe I should just not worry about the warrantee…?
    100$ for a 500gb 2.5 is a good deal I think (delivered).
    Cheers!!

Just be careful as some of these drives are coming with a native USB interface stuck right on the HDD, rather than the older/normal separate USB bridge to native SATA HDD. So you could be screwed on both counts, 1 voiding your warranty when you open the case, and 2. only to find that you can't use the bare drive because it is USB only wiht no native SATA interface!

  • I got $18 for shipping not a deal for me

  • would have bought one too if it wasn't for the shipping price :(

  • Why buy this when today's deal has the iomega 640GB for $105?

    • maybe its stock availbility i beleive there is no stock of the new post

      • I'll be picking one up today from Elsternwick. They have a few left for $109. It's the Sunshine branch that has it cheaper for $105.

  • I bought a S2 500GB yesterday from OnlineComputer for the same price ($89.95), pickup from Sydney CBD:
