NBA JAM: On Fire Edition - $4.93 (67% off) (Xbox One BC/Xbox 360)

340

This is the definitive version of the HD remake of the brilliant game I loved in the 90's, NBA JAM!

It's an Xbox Live Arcade title, and it's backwards compatible, meaning it'll work on both 360 and Xbox One.

Fantastic game, and worth well more than the fiver that it's up for now! It's a daily deal as part of the EA sale, so it won't last long, get it while it's hot!

Price listed is for Xbox Live Gold members, might be a bit more for non gold members (possibly $6.42?).

  • I love you so much. Have been on the fence with this one for the last couple of weeks. IIRC it's a $15 purchase for non gold mere mortals.

Is there any way to find out what the price is for non gold members?

    • +1

I think just by clicking on the link and signing in as a non-gold member it will tell you the price - I can't do that as I'm a gold member, it was hard enough to get the gold price because I bought it at full price ages ago :).

From what I can see, it might be $6.42?

      • yes, that's the non gold price.

can anyone confirm that it will download successfully on an xbox one?
everything on that page suggests xbox 360 only.

        • I agree, it only mentions Xbox 360. However, NBA Jam On Fire is listed as a backwards compatible game: http://www.xbox.com/en-AU/xbox-one/backward-compatibility/av…

        • In addition, it comes up as playable on Xbox One of you own it digitally on your Xbox 360. You can only see that with backwards compatibility games.

        • I've got it and play it on my Xbox One, its heaps of fun and works great through backwards compatibility.

You need to buy it as a 360 game, and then it'll appear as a download waiting on the One.

        • @MynyMouqe:

I guess you were all right :)

Thanks for buying NBA JAM: On Fire Edition!

You now own NBA JAM: On Fire Edition for the Xbox 360.
Your game will appear in My Games on your Xbox 360 console when the download is complete.
If this product is part of Xbox One Backward Compatibility, it will appear in the Ready to Install section of My Games & Apps on your Xbox One console when it becomes available.

          @fox81:

Go to your games screen and scroll all the way right :)

        • @Spackbace: thanks for this, had no idea how to find either this or witcher 2 (which i "purchased" when it was free).

  • Nice. Have been playing 2K16 since Christmas but my 9 year old hasn't really gotten into it even though he loves basketball. Hopefully this will be right up his alley.

    • He'll love it - perfect arcade style game to play, lots of fun with big dunks.

    Boomshakalakka….Thanks OP

  • Cheers OP! Buying it now. Spent so many damn hours playin the original at the pinny parlour back in my day.
    :)

  • is there multiplayer online with this??

    • Yeah, might be kinda dead though, so you might want to get your friends list onto it.

  • Thanks OP! Checked the PlayStation store and it's on sale there too. Picked it up on the PS3 for $4.86

  • Um, hasn't expired - I clicked through the link and it's still the same OzBargain price….$4.93.

    • Yup, I've changed the date - this is due to the US date/time differences, and the time it'll take then for the Xbox store to update. It'll change at some time today most likely.

  • Played it last night, good fun :) Cheers OP

So much easier to pick up than NBA 15 (bought from DSE sale)… Just couldn't get into that with the numerous key combinations! Looked amazing though

    • There's something great about simplicity in games, hey? Rocket League's a good example.

  • Thanks…. playing now
