    MSY:
    Core i5 4460 - $279
    Asrock Mobo - $69
    8GB ram - $54
    1TB HDD - $66-$70
    DVD burner - $17
    = $485
    + Case + PS
    + Build cost (or DIY)

  • I don't know a heap about motherboards, but is this system ok to put a decent graphics card in, or would it be better building from scratch?

For something to game on, I'd recommend upgrading the motherboard ($89.10) and the PSU

Upgraded motherboard will give you more flexibility, allow more RAM slots

depends on the graphics card you have, you might want to upgrade to a better PSU

      • hey rep,

        few questions :

        1. Why are all your systems listed in your ebay site but not in your actual site ?
        2. If I buy from ebay will I be able to customize it ?
        3. Is i5-4460 Quad Core sufficient for heavy web browsing, office applications, watching HD videos ? Or can I do the same with something cheaper ? Any recommendations ?
        4. If I also buy the OS from you, will you be installing it ?

        Thanks.

        • Hi dudebargain,

          1. We are still working on listing our systems on website. Hopefully, we will be able to start selling systems on our website in the next few months.
          2. Customization on ebay is very limited since we can only provide that many options on ebay.
          3. I5-4460 is more than enough for all your needs. You can do the same with i3 or amd a8. I would recommend to go with a SSD upgrade in any purchase
          4. If you purchase any upgrade from us (OS, RAM, GPU, Wireless card, etc.), we will install it in the system before we send it out.

          Cheers
          Eric

        • @ericc:

          thanks.

  • RTB warranty kills the deal for me unfortunately

yeah but really what were you expecting. Its $539 pc where the cpu is like over half the purchase price. You werent expecting them to come to your place to fix shit were you?

To be honest, if you dont know PCs and are not close to their store then dont buy it.

I'd buy it because they are maybe 30 mins from me. But yeah, I know my PCs so I dont need to.

      • But yeah, I know my PCs so I dont need to.

And you can't think of a reason why someone who "knows PCs" would want to buy something pre-built?

        • Saves time and headaches.
Alot of ppl (myself included, and I live in WA) bought PCs from PC byte over a year ago.

Can say that PC byte is a reputable company and would gladly recommend them.

  • Anyone know if any of the ready made PC Byte machines are hackintosh ready?
