  • I can see why master does not work. is bigw is hardware shop or is more like variety store

  • Beginning to look more like Dick Smith sales…..

  • Just went to the Landsdale, WA Store and was told that there was no stock of the Ironing board in all of WA even though the website confirmed that they had them.

  • What a woeful experience.
Did a click and collect order today for 8 x Del Terra Montana Dining Chairs ( https://www.masters.com.au/product/101268090/del-terra-monta… )which are a bargain at $26 reduced from $69 originally.
Rang the store a few hours later to see if I could pick them up today but they had no stock.
Spoke to customer support and they said the click n collect order can take 24hrs and in the mean time the stock is still being sold.

Am I expecting too much? I would have expected click n collect paid orders would be a priority since they actually had been paid.
I can't believe this business and no wonder it is going down the drain.
I even asked support if stores interstate have them can they be sent, they said sorry we can't send clearance items.
I then asked as a matter of goodwill would they do it and no again.

Lastly, this took the cake for me.
They at 1st wanted to refund me via a gift card, I refused and they are refunding my PayPal but it takes 3-5 days.
So all in all a very bad experience, why can a store take your money immediately then tell you 3-5 days?

    David.

      Am I expecting too much?

      Short answer: Yes
Long answer: I've seen it too many times. When a store (not just Masters) is having a clearance sale, don't expect your click and collect order to be filled promptly.
In these cases (and ESPECIALLY when it gets posted on ozbargain), my advice would be to call and reserve, or get down to the store as quickly as possible.

In terms of refund, that's the worse case scenario. You refuse the gift card (which I would've done too given their current status), so therefore they have to refund via how you paid. If you paid by credit card instead of Paypal, the refund MIGHT still take several days to go through.
