I have been looking for an alternative to store my files since copy.com announced that they are disconnecting the service. I know about Mega’s 50 Gb free storage, but I needed more space. I came across the hubic cloud storage. They have quit a generous offer of 25 Gb for free plus an additional 5 Gb through a referral. I decided to try them and get additional an 30 Gb to my mega storage.

The service has a web interface, a desktop app and Android, iOs, Blackberry and Windows mobile apps. I have used their desktop app and web interface and find them quite user friendly and in general pleasant.
The service itself is French. I have managed to find some reviews which are mainly positive.

To get your additional 5 Gb bonus:

1. Use a referral link (I posted mine below but any link would do) to sign up
2. Verify the registered email

It took me around 15 minutes to receive my bonus 5 Gb after I verified my email. It can take up to 48 hours according to their conditions

  …or just use Google Drive and verify your security details for 17GB at the moment (normally 15GB).

  I.. I don't understand.

  You know about MEGA (50GB) but need more… So you come on here for referrals to end up with 50GB? O_o

  Why not just make another MEGA account??

  Then syousef tells you to go to Google and get 17GB.

  Just. What. ???

    I believe cannot sync two mega accounts through one desktop app. I need this constant synchronisation, so will use two different desktop apps.

      I know it's a crazy idea and goes against everything OzBargain, but you could pay for a service, instead of having a dozen apps and things that could go wrong..
