I have been looking at flights between Beijing and Melbourne for about a month, travelling late Feb to early March. I can tell you the fares are more expensive than they have ever been. Last week I booked Beijing to Melbourne on the 8th of March for $190. Now it is 270. You could have a return flight from Melbourne to Kuala Lumpur during March and April for the same price as they are now,any time in the last month. I know they change their prices daily, but there is nothing here. However, if there was an actual 20% off it would be better. If the 20% off was actually working, a Mel to Kl return flight would be 394$. Which is ok. I'm guessing, when their "20% off" is over, not much will change with the prices. They'll probably go back down to where they were.

Well, I was right. The sale is over, and the prices have gone back down $100 - in my example. It's cheaper than ever now. $188. No sale = good deal!
