$999.00 Mini Hi Fi System from SONIQ? must be built by using gold

    • LOL at their promo video.

"It's also cool having these tubes light up in the frame. It's a unique feature…"

    • Lol. I was curious so I clicked. Here are the impressive set of features:

      MP3/MP4 Connection
      Internal USB sound card
      Playback of USB Music
      DVD/CD Connection
      Heaphones Connection
      Internal FM Radio

Sure beats the competition with the external sound cards and external fm radios! Also dvd/cd connection didn't actually tell you what connection it is, so I assume it's a future tech which moulds the connection port to whatever output your player has.

The only thing that may justify the cost round be the tube (do these things even still exist?) Which is an analogue technology, and like new age vinyl gear, lies in the realm of the audiophile master race and probably produced by specialist makers of which soniq probably isn't…

      • OMG I just realised, this HiFi has no CD player
It's just a tube amp with FM, USB playback and Sound Card.

the DVD/CD Connection is the AUX-IN courtesy of RCA

  • server down!

im just picturing some tech guy purposely putting the server down or only allowing like 2 connections at a time, to act like this is a crazy sale.

    • When they said supply was limited, I didn't realise they meant bandwidth supply.

Couple of cheap 55" FHD TVs there.

    $529 / $569.

    And a UHD 65" for $1199.

$1296 for the UHD 55" though.

  • server down!!

  • it loads. it's not down.

  • Won't load for me.

    • Works now. Slow though.

And 14 bucks postage for 5 buck speakers? Nahhh. I'll wait 'til the Logitech ones are on sale yet again and just get 'em local.

  • Metalbox 10.1" Tablet $99.00 Was $249.00 anygood for kids? with IPS screen

    • Looks like it's a 3 year old model & battery life isn't great. Just found a review here.
Here is another option for a much newer model - $98.00 Lenovo 7" tablet with better battery life.

      • cheers…… but 7 vs 10.1"

        • 7" is a much better size for kids, not as heavy & bulky so less likely to drop it and when they do it's less damage.

        • @28Degrees:

but yeah the user review stated he bought 2 and 2 are faulty within 7 months……

        • Where is that review? All I can see is 6 out of 6 positive reviews.
The 2 reviews on Officeworks are positive and the 4 reviews on Harvey Norman are positive.

        • @28Degrees:

Sorry, i'm referring to the metalbox

  • Wonder what their dead pixel warranty is like for their refurbished panels?

    • probably has to be between 32"-48" dead pixel before you can return it

      • I thought they couldn't get away with that rot in Australia and it is just an illegal bluff when they try it. Which is why even MSY have forever replaced units with dud pixels.
