Microsoft Sculpt Touch Mouse (Bluetooth), $20 @ Officeworks

80

Showing as limited stock at some Sydney Officeworks stores, although I got a price match at JB so I could use a gift card. Hopefully it's a decent mouse - I just want a portable Bluetooth mouse to use for my Android tablet.

I got one of these about 2 yrs ago from work. It was either appx $50 or appx $70. Painful to use - esp the touch-sensitive scroll button. Stopped using it. I prefer a normal manual scroll button.

  • I have one. Hate it, especially the scrolling.

  • I got one for my Ultrabook - Acer Aspire S7, mainly because the touchpad can be gimmicky at times, and sometimes you just want a mouse for things.
The Bluetooth functionality is great, because it frees up ports and there are no gimmicky receivers, however, I hate the touch sensitive scrolling… hate it hate it hate it. You can turn off the haptic feedback etc. but it still sucks. As recommended above be mg_k, my brother has something similar to this and it's much better… - well, no different, except the scrolling is standard and effective

  • OP says "Hopefully it's a decent mouse"

I never understand why people post "good deals" here when they have absolutely no idea if the item is any good or not.

By the sound of the comments above, this is a totally crap product and not worth $20.

  • I've used one for two years, it's fine for me.

  • I've used their arc touch mouse for 2 years (same touch scrolling)and actually liked it so much I bought another for my desktop
I especially like how you can page up and down by tapping either end of the scroll strip, and customise what a double tap on the scroll strip does (mine brings up the share selection)
