Anyone else finding the layout of this webpage annoyingly large?

    • +2

Agreed, their new layout is horrid.

    • +3

and does not really work e.g. refining search on Lenses

      • They have clearly designed this website for use on phones and tablets rather than a computer, it is complete garbage to use on a desktop. The best way to refine a search is to use the drop down menu in the top right of the website and go from there. Using the tabs on the left is an exercise in frustration.

My god yes, what the hell is with that!

  • +1

    Well, I am after a Nikon 50mm f/1.8G.

    If I buy from digidirect = 277.00 - 50.00 + 15.90 (shipping to ACT) = 242.90
    If I buy from HarveyNorman = 262.00 - 25.00 (Newsletter signup) + 0.00 (Free pickup in ACT) = 237.00

    Hmmm…

    • +2

Then buy it from Gerry. You can't compare the shipped price to a pickup price, did you expect them to ship it to you for free?

    • What's the difference between the standard 1.8G and the Special Edition?

      • +1

Special Edition is vintage looking with a white circle. That's it, optics remain same.

        Don't buy it.

  • +2

Yes, the new website is horrible. It's as if they got the same guys who did the new website for Macquarie University. Both are annoying large and useless in terms of finding information quickly.

  • A couple of good deals if you can navigate the website.
    Sony E-mount 55-210mm zoom lens for $223 + delivery (SEL55210B)

  • Anyone know when or what price the Canon 80D will be released?

  • +2

Olympus lens prices are definitely nothing to write home about

    • looking at comparable grey market on the 25mm f1.8 oly, the dd price is not too bad..

Wondering if I should just throw extra money in for the 1.4 pana summilux

      • +1

The Oly was $299 from GG last year, $349 isn't good enough.

  • +2

If anyone is interested in Sony Lenses, it is better to wait for their rebate.

$200 dollar off for some lenses. The rebate normally starts in September.

New website layout is painful to use. Please bring back to the old one. I had absolutely no issues with it. Or at least have the option to use the old version.

All that said, thanks for the discount!

  • "Thank you for your order. Due to your ordered item being out of stock, our suppliers have indicated an approximate delay of up to 7-14 working days for stock availability"

This deal is getting less better for me :(

  • Sweet baby Jeebus what did these clowns do to their website? That has to be one of the worst website designs I've seen in years. Absolutely horrible.

    163 Canon 50mm STM

    26 Fuji batteries and charger
    206 - Total
    -50 = $156

    Thanks for posting this.

  • "Thank you for your order. Due to your ordered item being out of stock, our suppliers have indicated an approximate delay of up to 7-14 working days for stock availability"

    • reckon we can ask for refund? I still havent have an update of any kind.
    • I got an email yesterday: "Your order is on it\'s way to our Sydney store and will be ready to pick up in 1-2 business days." Maybe depends of the item if it was in stock or not.

      • Thanks OP. got the email stating that the item is ready to pick up.
