Other post was a dupe, but did mention that it was in the paid area.

You can touch on, grab one and touch off (within 15 mins at same station) and not be charged

  • Good it's free, very average product!

    • How does it compare to Ice Break?

      • Not as sweet or strong. Although it's got quite a stale coffee flavour to it. Also the cup design is stupid. You're meant to use the lid like your would hot coffee, but it doesn't create a good seal and you'll end up with coffee down your top.

but it doesn't create a good seal and you'll end up with coffee down your top.

It's sad, but funny to see everyone spilling their drink within a short period of time.

        • Wow I couldn't disagree more.

I buy these from my local Woolworths. I like the taste much way more than other iced coffees (I won't drink Masters/Brownes, I just don't like them), and think it's about the perfect sweetness too. My partner also really likes them.

Neither of us have had a leaking lid and we've had about a dozen between us; you do have to push it down until you hear a click though. Maybe it's a defective batch? The company should investigate.

I guess everyone can make up their own minds but give it a shot if you like iced coffee.

@DoctorOwl: interesting about the lid. Also, my usual iced coffee is a fresh shot of espresso, cold milk and a big scoop of vanilla ice cream, so hard to compare!!

        • Is it real espresso or nespresso?

        • @DoctorOwl: real. Fresh ground week old roasted beans (atomica dark) extracted as a double shot over connoisseur vanilla

        • @bargdebarg: Well of course nothing will beat that. I really want to give up nespresso and get a real coffee machine one day. But I just bought a house so can't afford it yet - everything has to go into the loan.

        • @DoctorOwl: sure but what good is a new house without a good coffee machine?!? Lol.

  • Even though I'm going past there shortly, at 21.6 - 21.9 grams of sugar per 300 ml serve, I'll pass.. http://8bar.com.au/#latte-modal

Or maybe get some for my super slim work mates, wait, I don't know any!

    • Keep in mind that some of that sugar comes from the milk itself (lactose). At around 80% milk that would mean ~12g of sugar from the milk and ~10g of added sugar. Still not great on a regular basis but it would certainly be an improvement over an energy drink.

That said, I was a bit disappointed when I tried this drink recently. It wasn't bad, but I love the taste of strong coffee and the double shot flavour didn't taste as strong as I'd hoped.

Mine leaked because I didn't put the lid back on properly, so be careful
Annoying form factor - surely a bottle makes more sense

I actually really like this product. The double shot has 141mg of caffeine, which is nearly as much as two Red Bulls.

    • So that's why I feel funny.

      • I've been feeling funny about us lately…

    • How do you know it has that much caffeine? I'm always curious how much coffee powder translates to how much caffeine.

The information is posted on their website and on the packaging.

  • We weary of this product, as others have said - mine leaked as well, would definitely not recommend drinking from the cup! Cool but poor design.

Don't chug the double shot one. I'm waaaaaaaay too hyped now. No, really, don't.

  • Also, don't forget your free Psalms! (part of the bible)

  • I'm addicted to this stuff at the moment - delicious

  • Mine leaked.

  • I drink a lot of (black) coffee but this thing actually had me buzzing, but not in a good way. Not to mention it was so sickly sweet. That's the thing about sugar… it just makes you want more.
