Free movie only on Play / Watch it here before theaters.

Lowly theme park mechanic Sam dreams about his childhood sweetheart Sue. With the mistaken belief that only a bling ring can win the girl of his dreams, Sam plans the most perfect night to propose to his one true love. But when super villain Oscar shows up with his own evil ring that could destroy the city, Sam’s plans are thrown into utter disarray. Mistaking each other’s rings for their own, Sam teams up with his robot super heroes to track down his engagement ring and save the city… learning that it’s not about the size of the bling, but the size of your heart.

  • Thanks TRENT nice find!

Nice find for a child-free adult ;) Possibly a life saver when we have the nieces over to stay this weekend. Ultra short attention span for anything but screens, ughh.

pro tip: kids love watching the same movie they've already seen 20 times. Just put on anything from Pixar or Studio Ghibli, and you'll all enjoy it.

True - I think I've watched the incredibles at least three times this year already! Must be time to watch Ponyo again… Or maybe Kiki's Delivery Service… Or Howl's moving castle….. Or………..

  • well done mate….

From the director of such awful Korean bombs as Outback, Garfield gets Real, and Shark bait.
I did not know it was possible for movies to get such low ratings in IMDB.

see it before it goes to the cinemas

Ha! not much chance of it getting a cinema release.

With hundreds of free movies on SBS-on-demand, why watch this stinking turd?

    • Can you recommend any movies from the SBS-on-demand range that will be suitable for the age range that will want to watch 'Bling'? Just curious.

        Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure
        Asterisk and Ob vs Caesar
        The Red Balloon
        The Kid

Lots of PG movies for older kids. For pre-schoolers with short attention spans, just go to ABC iView.

        • Good picks!

        • Yeah good movies but not exactly for the age group that Bling is for, but thanks anyway.

  • Silly question - how do I watch it on TV (to show the kids of course)? It has no link to "save" it and watch later. Does that mean, when the free period is over, can't watch it any more, even if I have tried to access it?

    • Click on the 'Free' button and it will be added to your Google Play account. You can stream it to your TV using a Chromecast or something similar.

      • thank you. @sauron256

  • Someone watch it and tell us all if its not crap.

You think we care if it's crap? You must be new here.

(I saw the trailer. Chances of it being good are… low).

I've turned into an ozsnob recently. I don't add free stuff to steam/google play or get free ebooks/courses if they are crap. I know I should be taken out and flogged.

  • I can watch this before it goes to the cinemas? Last time I did it - movie was crap

  • Thanks OP. A surprise sweetener for my children.

FWIW Finally sat through this thing with the kids. Well, some of it. They watched it all and thought it was ok. I've spent more enjoyable times at the dentist. There were moments where it could have been funny, but it just wasn't. The film copied from numerous other movies and stories…. eg the main character of the story had a whole lot of little helpers with goggles on called "Minotaurs". Not Minions. Minotaurs. (Despicable me, anyone?). His love interest was a reporter (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs anyone). He was helped by a group of three heros - a monkey with a stick, a pig, and a fish (Monkey magic anyone?). There was also heavy copying from "Robots"… I basically stopped after that and spent the rest of the time checking my email.

The price was right but I suspect the movie was free because if they tried to make money from it, they will lose it all plus more in the courts.
