Not bad price for a 100mm grinder.

Comparing with Bunnings, the Ozito brand is $49 and Ryobi $59.

Masters also have the Wesco, currently at half price for $25 (cheapest between both Masters and Bunnings)

Next cheapest I found on Masters website is this Bosch for $59:

      Thanks for research & links.

Small/toy grinder, but trusted brand, quality product, and CHEAP!

      • +2

It's hardly a toy grinder, it is small, which can be handy. I have a collection of sizes all have their purposes. I will most likely only use this for grinding, not cutting.

        • +1

Great for cutting padlocks off when you lose the key!

        • Please advise of smaller. It's a toy in my hands, and shallow cut. Excellent price, but too small for me, and have no need.

          Got a 100mm cordless, using 125mm blades.

@Utopian: they are handy when you can't use a bench grinder and need to take small bits of metal off. Better control than larger, they all have their pros / cons though

        • @Utopian:

4" and 5" have difference arbor sizes, which means those discs (not blades) are not sitting properly on the grinder arbor. Advise against. Be careful!

        • @Utopian: I agree. 4" is annoying to use. Whay type of chordless do you have?

You guys sound like professional grinders

@MountFranklin: So much grinding going on here. Surely there'd be an app for it by now.

        • @dwain: Sorry, you're right. But I misadvised. It's a 115mm grinder, that I manage to JUST fit 125mm discs inside the guard. 100% safe, but probably load the motor a bit more.

        • @fantafox: Bosch 18v, 90% complete set.

        • @MountFranklin: Not with a 4"

  • Good price

  • As an angle grinder noob, can you buy other discs to do different jobs like sanding etc? Is this good enough to be able to cut off rusted bolts that are sticking out of old brick work?

    • Yes you can put any discs on and this grinder will work effortlessly.

As a tiler, this is the most used power tool i have. I fact most tilers i know use this exact same model too.

The circumference of the grinder is the smallest you'll get.

It can withstand daily use around 50 times a day for about a year before the brushes need replacing. (About $10 off ebay)

The switch is located on the left side which makes it easier to turn on and off with one hand. Grinders with the switch on top are awkward to use.

Ive tried almost every premium brand 100mm angle grinder and nothing comes close to this.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone thinking of buying a decent grinder.

And $40 is amazingly cheap too!!

    • Thanks. Hopefully the Chullora store still has stock tomorrow morning.

  • Literally purchased one of these at North Lakes, QLD for $59 about 30mins ago

  • I do believe Bunnings carries some Bosch Blue/Professional items.
Could be in luck and get price beat there.

Bunnings stopped stocking the GWS 7-100 a while ago now and reverted back to previous model GWS 6-100 which has a slightly bigger grip circumference. No idea why. So unlikely they'll do a price beat.

None left at Chullora and it's a discontinued model so they won't be getting more in stock.

  • can't find any around Melb :-( oh well
    Apparently Mornington has some.

  • Must be store specific, couldn't find any in Parkinson, Brisbane

  • As OP mentioned, Canberra store had a few left this morning (although they were wrong way around, the 125mm was under the $40 sticker and vice versa)

I bought one. At $40 I couldn't resist having been tempted at $75 previously. Funny though that it wasn't advertised as a special, but it looks like that is the marked down price until all sold I imagine.

  • Any available at Tingalpa, anyone know?

    • Best you give em a bell, saves you some time

      • like they will know, most likely say they have stock and get there to find none.

        • If they have stock get them to physically hold it for you…

  • Canberra sold out as of Sat AM :(
