15% off Intel 2-in-1 Laptops (One Day Only - Ends Today) @ JB Hi-Fi

120

Got an email from JB Hi-Fi today doing a one-day-sale on Intel 2-in-1 laptops. I am targeting this post for prospective buyers who are looking for a Surface-like (shall I say Surface Clones? ;-)) device that is more powerful than a MS Surface 3 but doesn't want to pay the price for a full fledge Surface Pro 4 device. These are Intel Skylake 6th Generation Core M processors which are touted to be more capable than the Broadwell (5th Gen) Core Ms. Also they are all fan-less 4.5W machines.

The Spectre X2 reviews are quite good but never used them before (includes keyboard). The Miix 700 seems like a pretty good deal for the money too because of the higher resolution screen and includes keyboard and active pen.

HP Spectre X2 12-a002TU (Core m5, 8GB, 256GB) - $1,443.30 after 15% discount

    Aw, I really want a Surface Pro 4… So they're not on sale at all?

      Yeah, pretty sneaky that when I searched the 2-in-1 category only as recently as yesterday the Surface was prominently featured…now it's conveniently omitted…JB, you've done it again! :/

      • To be fair I think JB themselves didn't have 15% margin from MS.

          This is OzBargain, I don't think too many of us are interested in what's fair! ;)

          @StewBalls:

          So you want all the business close down to give you bargain.

          @superforever: So you're new to the concept of humour, eh???

          You know what would be fair?
          If it's not included in the sale then don't give off bloody the impression that it's to be included as part of the sale (knowing it's a popular item) when it's an excluded item. That's fair.

          This is the kind of situation where ACCC come in and get companies done for "misleading practices".
