n00b question: Does the Seagate 5TB Expansion Desktop HDD require power supply or does it take the power off of computer/TV to which it is connected via USB?

i had that happen to me; just changed the store pickup location. successfully bought it. Then their store rep called to tell me theyre on backorder and wont be ready till late March.
Then got an email to say its ready to pick up. turns out its ready now. so keen

Any particular reason for that? Wouldn't you wanna future proof the TV by buying UHD?
Mainly because this is not my main tv as it will be wall mounted on my study room. All of the media consumed will be from a htpc with display card running fhd. Plus the lg uhd got some quite serious lag issue and the panel isnt that good.
Instant saving of $160 plus saving a bit of electcity bills too - 168kwh vs 262kwh per year in theory.
This is like compaing a midrange fhd tv and a low end uhd. That's why decided to go ahead with sony.

I checked the tvs in store and all the sonys had more natural colors and slightly better contrast than the 4k lg uf680t
I bought this TV a few days ago when it was 895 -20% but hadn't gotten around to picking it up yet. I gave them a call and they were happy to cancel the previous order, pretty happy with the outcome.
Hard drive price did not change yet ;(
Yeah sorry dude they have changed their price back to $289 on normal site, they were $229 early this morning :(

Yep, they won't.. as the invoice still says the full amount.. they won't give you the "discounted" price you are paying.
Thanks OP - just picked up the Sony 48" for my parents to replace their old 43" 2009 Samsung just in time for football season. They'll invest in UHD when it's also $636 in two years ;)
