It's the attitude of people like you that makes people like the O.P. NEED to brace themselves for the insults.

  • hehe :D

    • This is the OP's second post, he's taking the mickey. We can resume our rude, insulting manner.

  • Great deal. A nice 4 night stay in Sydney would do wonders for me and my partner, but sucks the hotels cant be as cheap as the flights

    • i hope u get a good hotel man :D good luck with the holiday in Sydney

    • About 4 days is the limit for staying in Sydney. Anymore, and you might meet the locals.

  • Dont fly tiger between OOL-ADL, my friends flight was just canceled this evening and the same flight has been hours behind since sunday when the new flight timings started…

    • Same old story…nothing new!

    • did ur friend fly every day? how he/she knew that this is the same flight?

Thanks for letting me know!!! im on the phone right now to jetstar to price beat my flights and as them being in the school holidays which is unbeleivable!!! as jetstar has the same flight for nearly $450 just one way! and ill be getting it for roughly $120!

  • Tiger do like to cancel their flights. I wouldn't travel them on domestic flights ever.

On top of that the flights btw Melb - Perth are crap times, AND advertised on this sale as per the same price that they normally are!

But thanks to the poster all the same, great deals for those in the Eastern states who don't mind if they have a high chance of their flights getting cancelled!

BUDGET airline Virgin Blue holds the dubious record of having the highest number of flight cancellations in Australia last year, official figures show.
More than 5700 scheduled domestic flights were cancelled last year, with Sir Richard Branson's budget airline accounting for more than 2100.

      • Coz VB flight more than JetStar & Tiger?

Crazy fact, they charge $27.27 for an infant, so cheaper to book them a seat on these fares!

    BTW VB/JS/QT infants all free

    • If you can price beat your flights agianst jetstar infants are still free

  • There are several pros and cons to tiger airways Pro is that the prices are insanely cheap and you get to be on TV cons sometimes delays.

  • just bought 2x return flights from syd-gold coast, cost $100 bought on visa, still cheap at $25 each way, happy enough.

    • Congratulation! good job

guys remember, we should thank to tiger with their lower price all the time.
don't always see on the negative side only. remember if tiger doesn't exist in Australia, you might still paying $80-100 for the cheap fare from jetstar/virgin for the flight sydney to melbourne.

  • picked up syd-adl return for the whole family for cheaper than I can fly syd-bris return just for me! thanks for the pickup!

  • thanks for the great deal

    • Tanks! I do soon buy for these specials! We go to adelaide!

    • Do the hosties know this?

      • yeah the hosties know this. if they don't. then Terrorist Wins

  • Thanks for posting.Just bought Mel-Syd - cheers

  • What are the luggage allowances for Tiger? Is there an extra fee for checked luggage?

    • ya of course um 10kilos for carryon or 7 and extra has fee

      • 7kg carry on…..
        15kg checked, extra $15, goes up to 30kg - which is $70

        • Do you know how strict they are? Jetstar have a similar rule but they didn't say anything when I walked on with 3 bags (whereas virgin weighed my small, single bag when I went with them!).

Also, has anyone been able to pricematch these? I'm going to try later but I know a lot of people get refused because its a zero-fare.

          • @callum9999: tiger is really strict. I saw a group of chinese in sydney airport refuse to pay extra 50kg luggage. don't know what happen next. some of them really stupid, only bought 15kg baggage allowance and bring 30kg luggage.

REMEMBER THIS IS LOW COST AIRLINES. they make money from selling other stuff. And remember if this fare only $19. compare than old price around $80 with other airlines, by just paying $15-20 extra for baggage allowance, you still save your money. DON'T BE TIGHT ASS****!!!!! :)

            • @dragonrabit: I would really rather not add $30 to my trip if I didn't need to. Yes, the fare is amazing value - but $30 added to the price makes a big difference to me!

              • @callum9999: so just paying how much do u need it. if u think u will carry 20kg, just pay $20, if you carry 15kg pay $15. plan a head what do u want to carry. they are low cost airlines. not full service airlines.

                • @dragonrabit: I understand how luggage fees work…

Jetstar is also a low cost airline - I don't think me asking how strict they are with your hand luggage really shows I'm expecting the service of a full-service airline…

(The $30 referred to fees for there and back)
