I have a 950XL nightmare, its riddled with MAJOR issues, stay away people, check the on-line reviews…

      • its riddled with MAJOR issues

        Such as…?

Have you considered resetting the phone or getting a replacement for it? I have one and it's been perfectly fine. Visit here for Whirlpool's discussion thread for the 950XL. People there should be able to give you advice on most problems. If not, take it back to where you bought it.

we use MS phones at work .. but cant see them selling any of the flagship ones at this price just stupid if you ask me. if they want business to take up the phone make it affordable .. right now the game is either a cheap 550 or pay 1000 for flagship ..

    • 650 will be out soonish to fill the middle gap.

      • yeh but thats just marginally better than the 550. We've always ran into this issue with windows phones they'll release the flagship at stupid prices and takes ages for a middle phone to come out and usually the middle phone is nowhere in the middle its more towards the bottom of the range.. i dont want windows phones to disappear they have a good spot for work purposes but whoever makes decisions for them is a numb nut…

    • Just because you don't doesn't mean nobody does… have you looked at how much flagship Samsung and Apple devices are?

      (Posting from my Lumia 950XL)

  • Slightly off topic, does the MS store have coupons often? I bought something that later got cancelled on me and I refuse to pay full price and MS didn't really want my business again seemingly …

    • I had the opposite, had an order that got delayed and never shipped, I asked to cancel the order and they gave me a $50 voucher for the inconvenience

I'm using windows phone for more than 5 years…
I have to say, for now , do not buy Lumia 950. The surface phone is on the way!

    • Windows phones have been out for 5 years already? Do you mean Nokia?

      • Yeah that long, Nokia had their flagship phones and other few models until the very end as windows OS, during the takeover they were just renamed Microsoft.

    • So is Samsung Galaxy 8, and iPhone 7, and Xbox Two… There is always something new being developed…

    Also AMEX offer for Microsoft

  • i hardly see the price tag v usabilty

  • Are we able to split payment into two CC?

  • Hmm
Basic Xbox one for 299 or
    + Kinect + headset + ryse game for 349

    Thoughts?

    • do you need the kinect ?

      • Probably not. Kinect fitness looked vaguely interesting but it looks like it hasn't really taken off

  • +1

Well if you get the Xbox Kinect combo, you can always sell the Kinect and get the cash profit to get an el cheapo used xbone game from gumtree/Ebay.

Wow, $300 for a second hand repaired console doesn't sound like much of a deal?

    • Yeah wouldn't touch a repaired Xbox at that price.

      • -1

        It comes with a warranty

        • +1

I would want to last a couple of years which these refurbs probably won't.

I don't know what standard they refurb to.

        • +1

Only 12months and only for parts - doesn't cover the service or postage fees. New machines come with 24months coverage & covers all those things mentioned.

Either of the current consoles are only worth about $300 at best brand new. Paying that for a repaired second hand console is nuts.

        • +1

@infinite: Can't fault that logic I'm afraid…I paid $321 before Xmas for a new console with FIFA16, so this price for a barebones refurb doesn't look that appealing TBH.

@GameChanger: The way I see it, refurbs are tested working and go through some validation.
If it doesnt break in the warranty period, itll probably last as long as a brand new one.
I generally dont mind manufacturer refurbs
