BabySitters Now - Membership Free until March 31

50

Great free service and plenty of active babysitters / nanny's. Nice looking web site too (although I don't care too much for the bears). Some other babysitter sites charge $90 per quarter at least. This is currently free and it works.

"Babysitters Now offers a fantastic service that is a joy to use - and really effective. And all of this goodness is available for free - for a VERY LIMITED TIME. Our amazing INTRODUCTORY OFFER is coming to an end, so you may want to think about JOINING RIGHT NOW."

And this offer will NOT end on March 31 - Parents NEVER have to pay for membership. How good is that? This could save you hundreds of dollars a year, every year AND you’re getting a service with benchmark levels of quality, power and security. This should make your decision REALLY easy - and it all starts with a click on the green button below.

Hmmm - I sure hope they aren't these kinds of bears…

they should have used real photos.. well for safety reasons and all…

    • WOT? That comment doesn't make sense.

And how are photos dangerous anyway?

I found this web site called "google images" and I found SO many photos on there. Is my health in danger now?

      • And how are photos dangerous anyway?

If your baby sitter looks like this, you might pass…

        • Perhaps, however there is much less chance of the running away from the little horrors if they are restrained properly.

  • Unfortunately, nowhere on the web site does it seem to make clear whether the site operators verify that all baby sitters have current Working With Children Checks. In NSW, such checks are mandatory for anyone that works or volunteers in child-related work ( http://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/working-with-children/wor… ).
My quick read of the web site is that it purports to get around the legal obligation to verify WWCCs by 'matching' parents and babysitters so that the parents are legally the employer (ie is an 'introduction service' only). However, this means that the parent is legally the employer and thus takes on all of the legal requirements for verifying WWCC certificates, record keeping etc. It can also mean that the parents, as employers, may need workers comp insurance if they are going to use this service legally.
