Thats probably the best machine you can get for the money and the cheapest for a German made one.

  • 2 more hours to go, LOL

Be aware Paypal/eBay are having issues, a lot of payments are not going through (Mine included)

    • I thought it's just me!

Even tried 2 account with 2 different credit cards

Now i have 2 payment pending! Lol

      • Spoke with eBay and PayPal and both confirmed there is a known issue causing payments to be rejected. No ETA on a fix or any activity on their status pages.

        • ebay cs said that they can refund voucher amount even if I buy it tomorrow.

The problem is I'm not sure when good guys will change the price on this.

Now I have 4 cancelled orders from 2 different account with amex and visa hahahaha…..

        • @tinx: Mine has just gone through!

        • @baz3189: same!

          Last one with AMEX.

          3 with VISA get cancelled.

        • @tinx:
what error message did you guys get? My order (2 items) stayed stuck in a pending screen and then when I went back into my cart, the items disappeared. THe pending payment wasnt in paypal but I checked paypal again 10 min later and I was charge full price for only 1 item and the other one disappeared??? LOL Can they see this from their side?

        • @tinx: do you reckon if i told them i had trouble checking out, they'd give me a one-off 20% code? My dishwasher conveniently decided to crap itself the day after it finished lol

        • @Chickenleg: sorry didn't saw this until today.

Yes they should, if you have it in cancelled order list.

I bought an air con last night from TGG. Actually I bought 3..

Tried to pay the first time, it said something like this service is not available at this time, try again later.

I go to my ebay to check if anything is listed there, then check my Paypal to see if any transaction has appeared there, nothing. AFter a couple of minutes I try to checkout and pay again. Same error, same checks, nothing. I try one last time and figure it's just not going to work.

About 5 minutes later I start getting emails saying payment successful! so there I am with about $6000 worth of charges on my credit card.

      • Ouch!

      • Now I don't know if I should also wait and hope it appears or try it again lol…

EDIT: At least now it has appeared in Ebay with "payment pending" next to it.

EDIT2: Glad I waited, payment ended up going through about 20 minutes into it :)

    • Mine isn't going through either. Guess I'm not getting a new phone.

How convenient for eBay that they suddenly aren't going to have to honour their 20% off deal…

Highly recommend Bosch, ours is still going strong from 2005.

I may be wrong on this but AFAIK they are made in Thailand not Germany.

    • depends on the model…. Some are made in Thailand, others are made in Germany.

  • This CTECHIE deal is a (profanity) scam. Tried to buy the Galaxy S7, and my payment just mysteriously fails even though there's plenty of money on the card and it worked on eBay yesterday without the coupon code.

    • +1

Not a scam, they are having technical issues.

I bought 2 S7's yesterday, took me a few goes, but it was worth it to save $230 each.

  • I don't usually wait until last minute, but I only realize they drop the price by $200 just now.

Bought Fujitsu 7.1k 14/03 and it's arrived today (16/3) ! Very fast delivery.

  • Is the new model with i-Dos much better compared to these? Are they worth the extra money spent?
Waiting to have Easter sale and see how cheap they go.

    • I have the i-Dos version of this and I don't think it's worth the extra $.

      • Thanks. Could proceed with the purchase and now it is expired. Hope better sale during easter.

  • awesome, after a washing machine too. was lazy to do research, here goes bosch bandwagon

does anyone know the approx. wash time? (normal)

    • +1

Have a few bosch 6.5/7kg washing machines across couple family members,( but not this model) basic wash is 50-60mins depending on temp and 'eco' wash is about 120- 140mins depending on temp on average.
Take a lot of abuse too considering industries we all work in. Only ever had pull miscellaneous bits (father never empties his pockets) out of the pump a few times and thats easy enough.

  • My experiences with Bosch have not been great. We had a fridge that only lasted 1.5 years and a friend had a dishwasher they had endless problems with. I'm sure other people have great experiences but my Miele stuff, whilst more expensive, lasts longer.

    • +1

Fridges are just rebranded from Asia.

Low end Dishwasher are be rebranded, good models still made in Germany and should be more reliable.

  • Btw, there's 60 day money back from Bosch if you're not satisfied with it (minus postage cost)

And because TGG Tax Invoice show full payment, you might even get free money if you return it lol

    check t&c first

  • This is an amazing deal. I have the i-Dos version of this, I actually think it's too rough on clothes. They've ended up faded and frayed compared to my last washing machine. But other people love it so YMMV.

  • I have the WAS28461AU, very happy with it!
this german made one should only be better!

  • +1

Tempted but I'm still 6 or so months out for needing one for the new home. If I buy now ozbargain will probably screw me over in the future with a better deal.

    • We're just abt to move into ours and this deal saved us HEAPS of money for a washer, microwave, dyson and tvs :D I'm not sure how often this 20% off deal comes up? I was procrastinating on buying stuff and this deal came up at the right time :)

      • Great time for yourself :) Ebay have had a number of % off promos in the last 6 months ago or so. I just hope that trend continues

  • Anyone know of a good deal on a dryer?

    • I just bought this.

      http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Fisher-Paykel-DE50F56E-5kg-Ae…

There are mixed reviews online, but I am happy to take the risk.

    • With out a doubt our ASKO condenser heat pump dryer is worth its weight in gold.
My electricity bill has gone down a crap load since i replaced the old dryer (F&P not condenser)
Yes it costs more but in the 1.5 years i've had it and the savings on electricity means in another 1.5 years it pays for itself!

    Missed by 2min!

    • …but thanks to KupoHo's suggestion below I phoned eBay and was told they are honouring the deal for people like myself who missed out due to the PayPal issue. Had to pay the full price and eBay will refund 20% to my PayPal account within 21days.

Bosch and miele makes amazing home appliances. Mine goes a decade already and never have any issues, no service nothing. The clothes are not stretched out and not thinned out as well. Considering clothes in one wash cycle cost more than the washing machines, it certainly pays it self even though more expensive than Korean or Japanese brand

  • I have this model, even on the lowest spin setting you need a good fabric softener as it spins the crap out of everything compared to a top loader.

  • I have a Bosch 6.5 kg machine I purchased a couple of years ago on special that cost even more than this, so this is a great deal. You won't regret it.

    • +1

      too late now ;)

      • Hah, I didn't even notice it was expired. I shall save my sage wisdom for other bargains. :P

        • +1

Yea, I missed it as well when reading reviews between this one and i-Dos. but when 10 mins were left, I made the decision to buy, but could not proceed for some reason in ebay.
Will see if there is any during Easter Sales. I will be surprised if sale will have price higher than this.

          @Gaggy:

Did you actually attempt to make payment via Paypal? If you did, ring them up, advising there was an issue with ebay/paypal and you kept receiving errors so your order did not go through successfully to use the 20% off code (there were issues with paypal payments going through yesterday - could be due to the last minute rush). They will likely request you purchase it at the sale price and they will refund the 20% within 15-21 business days. Best you ring them though, I started off with chat and they were pretty useless and I'm pretty sure they were making things up, one even stopped the chat midway and I never received the transcript of the chat! The people on the phone are much more helpful! Good luck:)

        • @KupoHo: Thanks. Will try.

        • @KupoHo: Called them and they accepted that there was an issue and will credit back the 20% to paypal. Only worry is it will sit in paypal and wont come back to my credit card. For that I will have to call Paypal.

But good news is I can purchase this washing machine. I hope it is not a bad decision relying agin on fellow ozbargain member's experience.

        • @Gaggy:
Oh, I'm sure you will buy something else with your paypal account in the near future?? And cos it's already sitting there, you won't think too much of spending it cos it's not coming out of your credit card again per se…lol

But YAY to the washing machine. If you read in the whirlpool forums, it's highly recommended and even the sales rep at harvey norman said I should get it (as it was the same price as a Made in India Bosch model they stock).

        • @KupoHo:got the same model.
Got a call from good guys few mins back that it is not in stock 😢
They Will let me know when osnext lot comong in.

        • @Gaggy:
Aw no! Did you need it straight away? Cos the sale is through eBay, I don't think it's store specific (sale goes to head office). Could ring head office and ask to pick it up from a diff store (not sure open weekends). I've read other comments where in this situation they have requested to pick up from diff store…but I've bought from one store n returned to another? So in theory should be ok…Might be easier to just go to alternative store n get them to sort it out..? I do think this model is popular so would probably be 1-2wks? We are waiting on an lg tv that's meant to arrive 31/3 even though I received confirmation it was ready for pick up!!! So someone sold my paid item in store even though it was allocated to me! How are they making sales for "out of stock" anyways? Annoying for customers!

        • @KupoHo: My old top loader is still working. So it should be fine. Will wait till Monday to see what happens.

  • +1

Has anyone got their ones and if can confirm they are Made in Germany?
Any reviews or comments would be highly appreciated as well.

  • Mine was delivered on Sunday (very impressed by that). Can't find anything in the documentation stating country of manufacture and it's installed under a bench so I won't be pulling it out to check the back of the machine. From my research prior to purchase, I believe this is made in Germany.

Previously had a Maytag 6.5kg front loader. Don't notice any difference in way the clothes come out but the Bosch runs and spins so much quieter it's not funny. Extra space is noticeable and also really like that this can be opened quickly (~15sec compared to a few minutes with the old front loader) mid wash if needed.

Was surprised to find this only has a cold water inlet. Haven't compared energy usage to similar models with a hot water inlet but we rarely wash above 30°C so I doubt it's much of a concern for us.

    • So you mainly use cotton wash, 30 degrees?

      • Yeah, generally cotton 20-30°C. Tried out the 60°C eco wash (4.5hr) last night when the little one wet the bed, 20L less water and decent power consumption if you've got the time. This is the cycle they recommend in the book but I can't see it getting much use in our house.
