Kogan ebay had GTX950-oc at $180 for the whole week during ckogan20 deal.

    Outperforms 750Ti by a margin.

    • haha yeah my post on that only had 8+. The only reason I would say this is a good deal is if you need a smaller card, but even then the galax GTX950 from PLE is this size for $199 + shipping

      • And this doesn't need power connector… :)

I was on the fence for other one but got this purely as my needs aren't high, so prefer a decent smaller low power option…

        • Hmm I don't know the 950 is only 90w vs 60w, if you locked your framerate to your monitor refresh on the older games you would be playing with this card it would probably downclock and use the same amount of power as this. If you don't want to try and play new games though saving the money probably makes sense

        • @coolhand:

I would only occasionally be playing games on this and my PSU is not that powerful, was aiming for a minimal and small build. So the size helps too..

Real shame it has no DisplayPort. Would have made an OK budget card for 4K otherwise (General use, not Gaming).

Aren't most R7 360s around the same price? They should have a DP

      • +1 Bought myself a Powercolor R7 360 from PLE about 2 months back for ~$120, included DP.

  • Does anyone know if these have a low profile bracket for mATX cases?

    • Judging by the pics, the PCB is full height so this card is not suitable for low profile usage

  • To confirm this will work with my Lenovo T140 desktop? That is to confirm it doesn't require an external power source (which is the only reason I am going for this GFX card) and is fully powered by the pcIE

Also at Checkout I get $156. Not $150. Is this because I'm choosing to pay in AUD?

    • Yeah, Amazon do their own conversation if you choose (much like PayPal does) but the rates are much worse. If you have a card that doesn't charge any foreign transaction fees, pay in £ as you'll get a better rate.

  • I have a r7 250 with an old q6600 cpu and 1280x1024 monitors. Would getting this let me play the current gen games at this res?

  • Great card for people running refurb PCs like a DELL etc. I have a low profile version that fits into my optiplex 990 SFF and it will ran games like battlefront at 1080p on high.
I have another one in a different machine because I was so happy with the price/performance without needing a decent power supply at the card draws all the power from the PCIx slot

  • Is it worth it over a cheaper 750? It's about a 10% performance increase, so with this in mind if you can find a GTX 750 for around ~$135-140 it's the same price:performance ratio. There's countless stores listing 750s for $140 not on sale, I'm sure somewhere would sell them for around the $130 mark on sales, if not less.

Don't get me wrong, this is still a deal, though it's more-so because the retail price of a 750ti is inflated a little - it should only be around $170 anyway with the retail price of the base 750 in mind.

Edit: My calculations are sort of '$140 in Australia base = easily $130 import on sale'. Pretty lose calculations so I could be wrong here… Either way, at this stage this is a great deal still.

    • Given how long in the tooth the card is now getting, every little bit of extra grunt can go a long way.

      • 750 is more a budget gaming card though, it's something that'll allow you to play all the less graphics intensive games at mid-high settings with decent FPS. Sure, the TI will get 5-10% extra FPS in said games, but it still won't be able to play any more graphics demending games. Other than a few FPS difference, the extra is virtually useless.

Overall though, it's still a great price. With the 750 in mind, a 750ti should be valued at about $160 retail price:performance wise - so $150 is still decent.

  • Is this an upgrade over my GTX 670?

    • +1

Big downgrade :) don't do it.

  • Thanks OP. Perfect upgrade for my low power media pc. Looking online this card has crazy low power consumption compared to anything else with similar power. Plays wii games well
