About the show :
Mark McConnell is a weirdo, but a good one. A Melbourne based Irish comedian with a number of local and international shows under his belt, you'll also recognise him from the retreating laughs comedy radio show and podcast on 87.8FM. Mark is best known for his anecdotal storytelling and his truly bizarre internal monologues that he vents with hilarious effect. Coming off the back of his Melbourne Fringe show 'Be a Man', he’s back to unleash ‘Washed Up’ at the Melbourne Comedy Festival.
His surrealist yarns and comedic observations will leave you questioning your own values and culture. Come and laugh at some of the ridiculous situations he manages to find himself in as he attempts to figure out Australian culture. It's an over 18s event with adult content enjoy an after work drink or meal and then come see a great comedy 1hr show.

  • Aka someone booked him a room that is too big and you haven't filled it yet!

    • +2

Actually quite the opposite the room capacity has been extended twice and several of the nights are sold out, for new comedians it's not about making money it's about getting your name out in the wild and playing to a room with a good atmosphere. Mark's room is very large in comparison to most new comedians and this speaks to his talent.
