    Looks like a good deal.

Shouldn't this be under 'computing' ?

That does seem like a more appropriate category. Thanks for the headsup :)

  • Doesn't seem to want to ship to AU. Is anyone else getting that error?

    • Make sure you click no to the "Two year protection plan" offered when you click "add to cart". I have just added all three options to my cart and it has progressed to the final billing stages for my AU address.

A bargain but not a big enough one to make me want to purchase this from overseas.

    http://www.mwave.com.au/product/corsair-vengeance-lpx-16gb-2…

I bought that for 115 so 10 dollars more after delivery but this is just the normal price no discounts or anything.

I suppose its great if you only want ram and nowhere else has a special. Since mwave is currently the cheapest I am guessing prices are about to come down.

    • That is a really great local price. If it was a run of the mill drop shipper I'd be suspicious but it is MWave. Perhaps a price error they haven't noticed yet? Either way a great local deal while it lasts

Maybe but I bought it and they sent out the 3000mhz so I didn't think it was a pricing error. It was only about 10 bucks cheaper than the next place.

The LPX pricing at the moment seems odd all around in Australia.

        • It's also $10 postage from mwave so you still save at least $20 (15%) by buying from Amazon. I think it's worth it.

        • The strangest thing with MWave's pricing is that the 2400MHz model is more expensive than the 3000 and 3200MHz options. None of it makes much sense

          @Doge:

You can pickup but usually people buy ram with other things.

        • @Cobalt_:

It's the same at Austin Computers here in WA too, the 3200mhz ram sticks are a fair bit cheaper than the 'slower' sticks at 2133 and 2400.

I'm wondering if this is a pricing thing with the Corsair LPX ram in particular. Other ram modules from different manufacturers seem to follow a more logical pricing structure where faster ram is more expensive.

      • Indeed, I just purchased from Skycomp and it was $127… great price from MWave.

I like to buy RAM locally - had some fail in the past so warranty is much easier - especially when these RAM have a limited lifetime / 10yr warranty.

  • just bought the 3000mhz last week …. UGH

If you purchased it from Amazon, you can ask them to price match the difference. They should refund it back to your credit card.

      • got a refund so quick, why can't we have amazon here in australia!

        • we do have amazon now in australia, but not that many options to choose from.

      • Do you have to speak to a live person, or can you email them?

        • Just spoke to them via chat so I'm not sure

    • Same.
