    Quantity: 10? Broaden Jnr?

    • +1

Had to confirm there was sufficient quantity before posting.

    • And has he cleaned out all stores already before posting here ? Wouldnt be the first time the OP did this.

    • -7

10 is not that much I think, it is handy for relatives come visit

      • -1

Yes when Broaden comes over I'm sure he will love them all

        • I don't have to post this deal if I wanna Broaden it myself

There were 16 $50 ones and few $10 ones and I bought 10 of the $50 ones only

        • +11

@ccwwayne: you bought 62.5% of store stock and you say you didn't Broaden it yourself ??

    • Inb4 the big fella gets put on the watch list when he registers them all

    • +16

At least he posted the deal. Some people will not even post at all. Thanks OP.

      • -1

It's easy to post a deal though when you get enough stock to please yourself. But, it's all in good humour 😀

      • +1

Yes agree with this. He could've chosen to buy all 16x and not post.. so pos from me.

  • +1

    Haha is this legit??

  • Does it have an expiry on it all all?

    • +2

no expiry on all voda sim.

      • Sorry don't have much knowledge on Vodafone. Can these be used in iPads for just data use? Have keys in my hand and ready to drive to local Coles express

        • Should be Ok with Ipads.

    • Vodafone starter kits do not have an expiry date.

  • Forget going to Oakleigh for any lol

  • $50 at Coles.

  • is coles express the store as part of the servo or those small, odd coles stores in the city?

    • +1

      Servo

      • thanks
just called my local, they only have the $2 kits :(

        • Called my local and they have no Vodafone sims at all….Apparently…

    • +3

      Coles Express is the servo.

The small odd Coles that you are talking about have been long rebranded as Coles Central.

      • +2

thanks KK. I hate those Coles centrals.

        • +2

          You're welcome.

They're not one of my favourites either. They don't have any specials there :(

  • +1

    What?!

    Is this real?

    I jut bought 7 * 40$ starter pack for $12.50 each :(.

    • +3

Greed and fear are the primary drivers of investment.

      • Bad investment

      • +1

I wouldn't mind investing an OzB superannuation.

I heard they pay you in MicroSD cards, Eneloops and SIM starter kits.

        :)

    • Yeah Phonebot is out of stock of $40 Sims.

  • +1

The $1 stickers in the OP's photo would indicate that this offer is available in that particular store only. Broad-ranging specials would likely be marked by means of a shelf tag rather than individual stickers.

    Just my 2 cents.

  • check with a number of Coles Express in QLD 4870, they don't sell Vodafone start kit. is this deal not for QLD? can anyone confirm pls?

    • +1

Called 2 stores. No Vodafone sims in one and only $2 sims in the other. Not going to try any more stores.

    • Same. Sunnybank had only the $2 ones, Eight Mile Plains had the $2 sims also. But I took the time to ask the woman, she said they don't even sell Vodafone sims lol (despite there being some on the shelf). Sadly no luck.

    • +2

Confirmed, $50 Vodaphone prepaid starter pack is $1 at ColesExpress Aspley Qld.
4 packs are available at cashier counter.

      • There is also three more stores nearby. One in Virginia on Sandgate road, another at the roundabout near Westfield Chermside and the cricket grounds, and the other along telegraph road near the entry to the motorway.

  • +5

None at liverpool or wattle grove nsw

  • +2

    Which Perth store?

  • +2

seems hard to find >.> none in ACT- gungahlin, charnwood, dickson~ meh i give up

  • +5

Look at you guys cruising around hunting for SIM cards at this time of the night, I'm jealous. I can't drive yet and it's past my bedtime. :( I'll have to wake up early in the freezing morning and walk 40 minutes to my closest Coles Express hoping there's stock.

    • :(

    • +2

Freezing? Are you on top of Kosciuscko?

      • +1

Nah, I wish; but as an unhealthy basement dweller I only feel freezing cold or boiling hot(like right now) or some other extreme whenever I go outside…except at night time when I'm stuck indoors.

  • The one i got is a sleeve with the $50 branding and a $2 sim inside so it'll be interesting to see if it activates correctly. Getting rid of very old stock so you'll probably have to be lucky to find even one let alone the 10 the OP got

    Edit; was micro/standard SIM

    • How did you know it was a $2 SIM inside?

      • The sleeve was over a $2 SIM package, there is a fair chance that some enterprising employee did a quick switcharoo in the past or it could be that voda keeps track of which ones are inside $50 packs?

        • Ohhhh no.

          Dear me, that's dodgy AF.

        • +1

@KaptnKaos: I figured for $1 even if it turned out to be a dud I was ok with the risk reward profile

  • Any one know any stores in Perth Area?

    Cheers.

  • OP, did you celebrate with an oblogatory kebab from Mum's Kebabs down the road after netting this haul?
PS: Also noticed payment made with a gift card. Got one for 5% off? :)

  • +1

Google maps claims my local one is closed at night. To trust in Google maps or to not trust in Google maps? That is the question!

    • Call first

      • No answer. So I guess they are closed.

    • check the website?

  • +1

Confirmed $50 Vodaphone prepaid starter pack is $1 at ColesExpress Aspley Qld.

  • got 4 from west tec, Adelaide. thanks OP!

    • Do u know if they had more stock?

      • I second a stock check

        • I don`t think so. as I heard the next person bought the last 2 after me.

        • +1

@caeza: It must be me :-)

  • +1

Are regular Coles stores likely to have them? Dumb question?

  • +1

There are barely 3 comments from users who +ve the deal and there are loads of comments so far. Already received 50 +ves so far. Also most of the comments refer to a lack of stock. Am I missing something in here?

  • None at Sunshine West, North Road Brighton East, Warrigal Road Heatherton

    • That's a fair bit of a ride

      • Thats my daily drive, home to work 😁

  • None in St Clair and Colyton NSW

  • +2

Plenty more left (all $50 Prepaid Cap Starter Pack; Manufacture Date 12-10-14)

Not stocked at Coles Express Moorabbin

    • Did they scan up as $1?

  • +1

Can I transfer my old number?

  • ACT: None at Fyshwick or Wiluna.

    • -1

Wanniassa has stock, I repeat, Wanniassa has stock. Don't get too greedy now.

      • Not sure why there's a stupif gif attached to my reply… Anyway, I went to Hawker and both the $30 and $50 kits are no longer scanning, coming up as not in file.

  • +4

Are the staff allowed to buy this themselves? I went to one of express stores - and staff said proudly that he bought them all.

    • +1

This was a fact.. and a question if that is right or wrong. why neg? unless you are the store guy :)

      • +3

        Have a +.

        • haha :)

    • /gif no one knows?

    • hahah I love that the staff proudly told you that!

    • Look at the number of people in this thread buying 9-10 of these, so why can't some poor staff member buy some & he probably was proudly telling you that because for once he was able to get in on the bargain and we all know that can be a fist in the air feeling! :)

  • what can you use these for ? prepaid topup? can I topup data sim with these?
    /gif patience

  • +4

These SIM cards seem as scarce as their service

    • With the promise that they'll change and be better next month, like the ex! Very slow service in my area.

  • GIf time!

  • +2

Out of stock : both clayton outlets, noble park, glen waverley

  • Can confirm that $30 starter pack is $1 aswell

    • What barcode are the $30 starter pack?

  • Only found the $2 ones, didn't bother checking the price.

  • +1

WA : Called Brentwood, Bull Creek, Canning Vale, Myaree, Leeming, Kardinya. No Vodaphone starter pack. Only $2 sim.

  • I guess they're clearing them out
    gif /clear

Sydney, inner west: Went into Ultimo, no stock (of $30 or $40 or $50). Went into Annandale, again no stock. Went into Stanmore, they had the $50 packs, scanned at $1, so bought 9. There's around 8 left at Stanmore, so first-in-best-dressed. 9 was enough for me, as it means I'm now set for starter kits until Sept 2018.
