    • I guess the gif is for 'first'.. Not sold on these

  • Just got 10 pcs of them (all of $50 value each) at Coles Express Carlton, Melbourne. Amazing for $10 cost for $500, thank you

    • Is that Lygon st?

      • Yes, Lygon st. I didn't ask about the other $10 or $30 or $40. Only bought the $50 value ;-)

          No stock left…smh

    • Dammit is there anymore?

      • No more today for the $50 value. I didn't ask about the other $10 or $30 or $40. Maybe you could try asking there (who knows if there will be new stock later)

    • does it recharge same number? or keep changing?

  • Sydney South-west: No stock of $30, $40 or $50 at both Greenacre servos(Roberts Road both directions). $2 SIMs marked with a $1 sticker at the West one.

    • Is that TS?

  • Got just 1 at Coburg (VIC). Was the only one left. The counter staff warned me that it's actually a blank SIM with no value, despite the packaging saying otherwise. I bought it for $1 anyway! :)

Given it's April Fools guess the jokes on us Ozbargainers.

      • The joke starts after you activate it and actually try to use it, regardless of value :)

    • You can check the serial number on Vodafone activation website, it will show whats include before you activate it

Thanks OP bought last two $30 pack after 20 minutes drive. The lady on the counter said it is just an empty sim and I should buy a recharge to use it. I entered the serial number and pin number on Vodafone website and here's what it says.

        SIM confirmed

You are on: $30 Prepaid Combo Starter Pack. Includes 1.5GB Data, Infinite standard national calls & TXT within Australia and $30 Combo Credit.

Both packs manufactured in March 2012.

  • Has anyone tried to activate their SIMs yet? Do they actually activate as the $50 prepaid plan here? - http://www.vodafone.com.au/personal/prepaid/plans

    Or are they blanks?

    • Blanks.

      • So what does it quality come with then? Any data??

    • Can confirm it activates as the $50 prepaid plan you linked. Comes with 6GB data and not 3gb as stated on the pack. Got the last one at Padstow. Think its on clearance as the manufacture date is 12-10-14.
Employee said they were getting more but wasn't sure on price as Manager was somewhere else.

      • Should be 10GB with extra 4GB Bonus

        • That too is confirmed. :)
And I thought today couldn't get any better.

    • Checked one and got this:

      SIM confirmed

You are on: $50 Prepaid Combo Starter Pack. Includes 6GB Data, Infinite standard national calls & TXT within Australia and Infinite Calls to 10 selected countries.

You should get 10GB (4GB extra) as Vodafone is having a promo now….. :)

It should show up a couple of hours after activation.

Good old Tassie. He's probably the only Ozbairgainer down there so no competition.

  • Can someone please clarify for me - Vodafone pre-paid starter packs on their website are categorised as "combo", "pay as you go" and "365 day". I don't see reference to "cap starter pack" anywhere. The 365 day would be perfect for what I need it for - is this deal for me (if I was lucky enough to find stock)?

Got the last two at Dundas after the attendant said they were out of them.

  • Do you guys see any available at your express in sydney? And is this only in express not stores?

  • I'm just 2 weeks late and they're not on special anymore. They're not clearing, there's still a lot left but the price is jacked up

  • Experts,

I`m after a vodafone plan for my kid, ofcourse just for receiving calls and basis Whatsapp.
Is Coles Express providing the simcard with $40 of value loaded for $1 or just the simcard for $1?

    • It is a $40 plan with unlimited calls and texting for the month at a cost of $1. Good luck finding stock. You are better off waiting for the $30 sims to go on sale for $5 through woolworths and coles. These have unlimited calls and texts for a cost of $5 and won't be as difficult to find.

    • Yes, the simcard are loaded with $10, $30, $40 or $50 for $1

  • went to beenleigh store in qld they had heaps but all with the new packaging scan up at full price not $1

  • Just been in Fremantle store WA and scanned all varieties which came up at full price :-(
