IMO, trying to convert these to WW group gift cards is not necessary. I have bought thousands of $ in Big W vouchers and had no problem using them at WW, WW Caltex and Dan Murphys, including online. I have also bought gift cards at Big W with e-gift cards, either through an operator who didn't know better or through self service.

Not at all. You just have to swipe the ww gift card thru the EFT machine to activate at the end of the transaction.
Hmm reports on past deals suggest the big w gift cards can only be used at big w. Does your experience differ?

It depends on store to store, and the person at the counter. I was able to convert to WW gift cards at few occasion.
You might have managed it but you can't count on it always.

I wish offer went for longer than 2 weeks. The 10% ones (Rebel/Supercheap/BCF/DavidJones) are pretty good and look like they are always available.
Only shows 5% on my Android app (despite updating offers), weird. Gives 7.5% when using the link by OP. Wonder what else I'm missing out on.
Just click on the "Web Offer" button and it will say 7.5% (at least that's what happens from the iPhone app)

So to become an "Entertainment Book Member" i need to go to one of the Charities or Fundraisers mentioned and buy a virtual e-book so i can buy my virtual E-gift cards so I can use to buy gifts for my Virtual friends… If I had any that is.

I have purchased the book for a few years now. Money goes to charity and i have saved a lot more than the book cost me! It does encourage me to go to restaurants more though :S
Alternatively wait for a groupon or scoopon 10% off sale. But then that depends on how long you are willing to wait…
You can buy on the entertainment website. Just find the book for your area and there should be a buy button
Plus, last time I spoke to them, the EB staff told me that they were implementing a feature where you could nominate a charity of your choice to benefit from your purchase…I presume this is in place now! :)

Agree,better buy from Groupon using AMEX and claim possible cashback to max out discount.Entertainment Book does not accept AMEX.
I'm in for WW gift cards but this is Limited to BigW spend….what on earth do people buy?

Depends on quantity, weekend/weekday etc. I'd hate to say it only takes a few hours (which it does sometimes), when it could take a day or 2 (which has been known to happen on larger orders!).
So between a couple of hours and a day or 2, basically!

@Spackbace: I would have thought there were 2 definition:
1. Using BigW e-gift card (unofficialy) at WW, DanM.
and
2. Convert BigW e-gift card into Wish gift card (officially) allow user to use at BigW, WW, DanMOfficial: although the information wasn't stated in the card, it can be used in store above
